AC Pressure Switch
Hello all
I have a 2003 Honda Civic 3DR. The aircon has stopped working (neither fan or the compressor is running). I have traced this to the AC pressure switch and verified that it is the switch by
shorting it out and everything works.
How can I tell whether this is genuinely because the pressure is too low or if the switch is faulty? Also, is replacing the switch simply a case of unscrewing the old one and screwing a new one in or would removing it cause the refrigerant to leak out ?
Regards
Mark

Re: AC Pressure Switch
I would almost guarrantee that it is a pressure problem and not the switch. You cannot just unscrew the switch because refridgerant will leak out. take it to an ac place and have them check the pressure.

Re: AC Pressure Switch
Thanks for the quick and helpful response. Sounds like either way I won't be able to fix it myself so I'll take it down to my local Honda dealer tomorrow.
