Fresh off the heels of the highly anticipated return of the Air Jordan 12 Retro “Playoff,” Jordan Brand is set to keep the AJ 12 busy throughout the rest of 2022. With a “Hyper Royal” women’s edition and “Stealth” colorway already confirmed, you can add another pair to the list. Debuting this holiday season is the all-new Air Jordan 12 Retro “Black Taxi.”

Now when you think of taxi and the Air Jordan 12, you think of the original white and black colorway that is one of the most coveted pairs of all time. While we are still awaiting a proper retro of the AJ 12 “Taxi,” we did get the “Royalty” edition in 2021 to tide us over. Now, “Taxi” returns to the Air Jordan 12 with a new iteration. Known as the “Black Taxi” edition, this pair is similar to the Air Jordan 12 Retro “The Master” that was released back in 2016. Featuring a completely blacked-out design with taxi yellow accents in place of white.

The Air Jordan 12 Retro Black Taxi was originally set to release on October 15th, 2022. After a few delays, they will now release on December 3rd. It will drop at Nike as well as select Jordan Brand retailers in-store and online. Coming in full-family sizing, retail is set at $200 for men. The Air Jordan XII was originally released in 1996. Like many Air Jordan sneakers, its design inspiration came from outside the world of basketball. In this case, it was the Japanese Rising Sun flag, with the stitching on the side panels representing the sun's rays. The Air Jordan XII was also the first Air Jordan to feature Zoom Air technology and sport the "TWO 3" style on the tongue. Because of its extreme popularity, the Air Jordan XII has been re-released several times and is now available in an array of colors.

While we are only in the middle of Holiday 2022, today we have are first word on what to expect from Jordan Brand for Fall 2023. Numerous Air Jordan Retro releases are slated to drop between July-September. We can expect to see the Air Jordan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12 and 13, in new and old colorways. Included in this list are the returns of the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Burgundy," Air Jordan 7 Retro "Chambray," and the Air Jordan 8 Retro "Playoff."

While the AJ 5 "Burgundy" was rumored to drop in 2023 earlier this year, we now have a specific date after it was missing from Jordan Brand's Spring and Summer Collections. With 2023 being the 30th Anniversary of the AJ 8, it only makes sense that we get some kind of retro drop, and lucky for us all, it's the return of the "Playoffs!" Alongside them, the Air Jordan 7 Retro "Chambray" is confirmed for a comeback, previously released in 2006. In addition, plenty of new colorways across various classic Air Jordan silhouettes will be released as well, including the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG "Black Toe," the women's exclusive Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG "UNC To Chi," and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "University Blue Toe."
