Awesome price for 3 really nice hand soaps but, they came in the mail completely leaking & soap was everywhere. Luckily I didn't lose a lot of soap
I'm back to doing product reviews again! Today, I'll be sharing my thoughts regarding the Bath and Body Works Hand Soaps. So keep on scrolling down...
Last August, I've ordered a box of body lotions and hand soaps from Bath and Body Works. See my previous post: Bath & Body Works Overload!! I've also written a review of the brand's body creams from this link and this link. But today, as I've mentioned earlier, I'll be talking about Bath and Body Works' hand soaps. The hand soaps pictured above are as follows, named from left to right:
- Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Gentle Foaming Hand Soap
- Bath & Body Works Dancing Waters Gentle Foaming Hand Soap
- Bath & Body Works Decorative Hand Soap California Citrus & Sunshine
- Bath & Body Works Fiji White Sands Deep Cleansing Hand Soap
- Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint Gentle Foaming Hand Soap
WHAT I THOUGHT
I bought 3 different types of hand soaps from Bath & Body Works: the gentle foaming hand soap, the deep cleansing hand soap, and the decorative hand soap.
What's the difference? The gentle foaming hand soap produces a cloud of foam that you can lather into your hands leaving it soft and fragrant. The deep cleansing hand soap has small micro-beads which exfoliate the skin. However, I find this type to be a bit drying. And the other is a decorative hand soap which is just your regular hand soap.
Smell
I love the scents Bath and Body Works offers and I'm happy that they are consistent all throughout their products. I personally think that the Japanese Cherry Blossom scent is not a good scent for hand soap.
The California Citrus & Sunshine scent smells like the scent of our toilet bowl cleaner. Who wants to smell like your bathroom? But the other scents I've bought, listed above, are lovely. Of special mention is the Eucalyptus Mint scent.
Overall, these are good hand soaps. This brand is approved by my husband's cracked skin. As you know he suffers from it on his fingers. I like the gentle foaming hand soap for him. I would definitely buy from them again.

Hello friends, I hope everyone is doing well. I really like the texture of the Bath and Body Works Deep Cleansing Soaps, in particular the grainy like substance inside. Does anyone know what ingredient that is? And whether there are other products, preferably from someone on here, or another less expensive brand, that has such a textured liquid soap? I like the
feel of the grainy substance along with the liquid soap when washing my hands. Thank you so much, JoinedJan 14, 2015Messages1,906Reaction score2,091Location

Well it could be several things. Usually those are micro beads - tiny bits of plastic. They are very bad for the environment, as they are not filtered out by waste water plants and get into lake and streams. Several states have banned them. You can use pumice, crushed walnut shell, ground coffee, clay, and poppy seeds are all things I have heard of?

Jojoba beads are also great. Several different companies carry them. I personally get mine from EB&B. JoinedMay 27, 2015Messages3Reaction score1
Hello friends, Thank you for educating me about the micro beads. I will definitely try to avoid them if possible. In general what is your assessment of the quality of these Bath & Body works soaps? I am not in any way affiliated with them or any competitor, etc. I am just a personal consumer. Does anyone have recommendations for vendors either on here or
online that sells good quality liquid soaps? Possibly with some customization? I don't have the means to start soap making now, due to a move of residence, but I desperately need to buy a bunch of soaps for my new home. Thank you so much, oxonian
