In this quick tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create a Google Ads account without setting up an active campaign first. Show
If you create a Google Ads account in the usual way, creating an ad campaign is part of the steps you need to take to complete your account setup. This also includes setting up your payment details such as a credit card or bank account for example. But if you prefer a “clean” account without any ad campaigns running then I will show you the way on how to set this up properly. If you follow these steps you don’t have to set up all the payment details yet. Ofcourse you can do that later when you want to start running your ad campaigns. This way can be useful if for example, you want to do keyword research and don’t have access to a premium keyword tool. The keyword planner is completely free to use and all you need is a Google Ads Account! 1 – Select Google Ads app in your Google AccountTo create a Google ads account you first need to login into your Google account. You can also check out the tutorial I have made about how to set up a Google account if you don’t have one yet. After you have logged in you can click on the icon with the nine dots at the right side on top of the page. If you scroll down you will see the Google Ads icon over there and to proceed you need to click on the icon.  Note: What to do If you don't see the Google Ads icon (extra steps) If you don't see the Google Ads icon over there for any reason you can follow the steps below. Scroll down and click on the button More from Google. After you have clicked on the link a new page will open and if you scoll down you see all kind off different apps that are available. Go to the section For companies and there you will also see the Google Ads icon that you need to click on to set up your new account.
2 – Select Start NowAfter the page has loaded you need to go to the blue Start now button on top at the right side of your screen and click on it to proceed.
3 – Expert modeTo ensure that no campaign has to be created yet, you can now select the Switch to Expert Mode option.
4 – Create an account without a campaignNow click on the option Create an account without a campaign.
5 – SubmitClick on Submit to continue.
