Every time I use one, I keep wondering what if my card gets lost, if the cashier skims my card, and numerous other ways my card information can be compromised.
I am a regular Dollar Tree customer, and for the longest time, I thought they didn’t accept contactless payments.
But, I was delighted to know that they have recently started to take Apple Pay, which has become my go-to payment method for everything. The safety and convenience of Apple Pay usage reduce my constant anxiety.
Dollar Tree does take Apple Pay as a payment method in most of its stores. You can also pay at Family Dollar stores. But Apple Pay is not accepted for online payments on the Dollar Tree website.
How To Use Apple Pay At Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree recently started taking Apple Pay at most of its stores using NFC readers.
The payment information between your iPhone and NFC reader is encrypted and dynamically shared between both devices.
Using Apple Pay for pay at Dollar tree is the same as you would at any other store. You just have to-
- Go to the Apple Wallet app.
- Hold your iPhone near the NFC reader placed on the counter.
- After the NFC scan is finished, allow the Face ID or Fingerprint authorization as per your iPhone model.
- After the payment is finished, a Checkmark icon will appear on the phone screen.
As of now, Apple Pay is only accepted in Dollar and Family tree stores. You cannot use it to pay for online purchases made on the Dollar Tree website.

Final Thoughts
The use of Apple Pay at Dollar Tree is a confusing matter. Dollar Tree’s Twitter account tweeted that they’ll accept Apple Pay.
But when you search for it on the Dollar Tree official website, it states they don’t accept Apple Pay.
All this confusion is because the Dollar Tree website only informs about payment methods used on the site. Apple Pay is accepted at Dollar Tree stores only and not on the website.
For purchasing goods from the Dollar Tree website, you can only pay using credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal.
