2 Studio Ghibli Fest 2021 Schedule:

The festival will kick start with a wide screening of Hayao Miyazaki Academy Award-winning feature film, ‘Spirited Away’. The celebrated film, which came out in the year 2001, will complete its 20th anniversary with this beautiful screening. Apart from Spirited Away, Studio Ghibli Fest will screen three more Miyazaki films. The three other titles include the Oscar-nominated epic fantasy, ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’, the timeless fan-favourite ‘My Neighbor Totoro’, and the classic steampunk anime ‘Castle in the Sky’.

Hayao Miyazaki Oscar-winning feature film, Spirited Away, will be screened at the Studio Ghibli Fest 2021.

GKIDS, who has been a long collaborator of Ghibli Studios, will produce this event along with Fathom Events. They both have been the backbone of the Studio Ghibli Fest and have successfully produced the fest three times. This year will be no different.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fest couldn’t take place last year, which upset the Ghibli fans. But looks like 2021 will more than make up for it. The producers have included tons of interesting events in the Fest. Apart from all the film screenings, there will also be a celebratory event to honour the 35th anniversary of Miyazaki’s classic ‘Castle in the Sky’. The whole Fest can be seen as a celebration of Miyazaki’s genius filmmaking.

Will there be a Ghibli Fest 2022?

Spirited Away - Studio Ghibli Fest 2022 | Official Website | October 30 2022.

How long is Ghibli Fest?

Ghibli Fest, the eight-month-long festival will feature a number of the studio's classics. Of course, this isn't a “film festival” in the classic sense. The schedule will be much more relaxed and spread out, featuring one movie per month for the duration.

Is Studio Ghibli still ongoing?

The anticipated film is expected to release in 2023. Hayao Miyazaki, the brain behind Studio Ghibli, announced in 2020 that the studio was working on two new movies. Two years later, one of the movies, titled How Do You Live? is almost finished.

Which Studio Ghibli made the most money?
