Yeah, the cheaper the bracelet, the more pain it causes. Given enough time, your hair growth changes and gets pulled less. I have a $200 diver I got years ago that I still wear pretty frequently. It still pulled for the first few months, though far less than my $50 diver I had previously. After about 8 years, it now pulls maybe once a year (infrequently enough that it now surprises me).
If OP wants a watch with a bracelet and doesn't care about the end links, aftermarket might be the way to go. 1 and 2

I used the handly little push pin thingy and pushed the silver thing and moved it back a couple places. The watch is a lot tighter and doesn't move around so much. Thank you so very much for all the help. Now all I have to do is get all the hairs that were pulled out from between the links. |

It takes special tools. You might damage it but you could try some slip pliers on the back to turn it. I myself wouldn't try it but it's up to you. I didn't know turpentine removes concrete. You learn something every day around here. |

He's kind of a "jack of all trades" guy....I think he was a television repair guy way back when and claims he has an awesome set of tools so if the turpentine doesn't do the trick i'll just take it down to him... Thanks for the concern though.. |

Thanks for the concern though.. You're welcome. Another tip if your friend is going to service your Rolex. A light coating of motor oil or even better, some penetrating spray around the case back will loosen it up enough to turn it easier. |

The books go into detail on how a Rolex is made, the names of the parts and so on. The backcover of a Rolex watch is screwed onto the watch using a block method to create a water proof seal and it makes it difficult to un-screw without the proper tools. Now I am talking about the newer Rolex watches. Again, go get a book on Rolex watches. BTW: We were having fun about the Vice Grips. |

Just strategically place the point of the screwdriver and tap, tap, tap with the hammer. It should open then by hand. |

Open your Rolex watch with what you described and then take photographs of the Rolex watch afterwards. Lets see if it works on your Rolex watch first. BTW: My Rolex watches are worth $$$ and no one is going to touch them except for my own Jeweler who I pay $$$ to work on them. |
