Calculate the number of days between two dates (hint: you can use the How many days are there between two dates? calculator)
Divide the number of days by 7 and round down. You will get the number of full weeks.
The complete result will be the number of weeks and the number of days between two dates.
Weeks between dates calculation example
Problem: how many weeks are in the school year between September, 1st, 2021 and May, 31st, 2022?
Solution:
Calculate the number of days between September, 1st, 2021 and May, 31st, 2022. According to the How many days are there between two dates? calculator, the number of days is 272.
Divide this number by 7 and round down:
272/7 = 38.85, and it is 38 rounded down.- Calculate the integer remainder after division:
272 - (38*7) = 6
The answer: There are 38 weeks and 6 days in the 2021 school year. (Well, different countries have different start and end dates of a school year)
And here is how you should enter this problem into the calculator above: weeks between two dates calculation example
