How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

"Need"? No. Thanks to glitches in the first game and clever climbing/gliding in the Reignited Trilogy, you don't need to. But you're supposed to, yes.

And it will happen more than once. You can't finish the homeworld of that place because an orb is up on a ledge which requires use of the ladder, you can't finish one level because it requires use of the headbash ability which you don't get until the final homeworld and probably some other things.

That's one of the few flaws I took umbrage with about Spyro 2, though I still love the game to death. Lots of backtracking for no real reason, making it more annoying to 100% the game one level at a time. I've never liked it when games force you to leave an area and only come back once you're ready. Dragon Age: Inquisition is an other title I'm playing right now that does this. You can't complete all of the rifts in the first open-world area you're given to explore because you have to hit around level 10-12 to beat them. Then there's a dragon at like level 14 or 16 you can't face until later. I'll forgive that one, because dragons are like bonus bosses in a way, but the incomplete rifts and quests thing can bite my shiny metal ass.

Back on point, if you want to complete Glimmer in the original PS1 release before leaving, learn to double-jump. A simple video online should show you. If you don't want to glitch to get there, you'll have to come back later.

In Reignited, just practice jumping on the green (?) gem in front of the ladder and work on getting the ride gliding method to glide and hover onto the ledge. It's tough and you have to remember not only to hold down the jump button and glide at the TOP of your jump, but also to not push forward when trying to glide since you can't hover if you don't glide far enough.

Just getting on the gem requires that method. Then getting to the ledge, which is honestly the easier part of the two. It's kinda fun to try and master, though frustrating if you should be able to do it but keep messing it up.

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage

Welcome to the second game in this remaster. In Ripto's Rage (or Gateway to Glimmer as it was called in Europe and Australia). Spyro is back, this time solving the troubles of a new realm, Avalar, which has been taken over by the evil sorcerer Ripto. As before, you'll be collecting treasure, but you'll also get the Talismans of the worlds you explore, and powerful artifacts called Orbs. There are only three Homeworlds this time, but there are more levels to be completed within each of them. Once again, you'll have to reach the maximum completion of 100% to get all the achievements.

One noticeable change from the previous game is that there are now three abilities to be unlocked: Swimming, Climbing and Headbashing. You won't be able to finish some of the levels completely until you've unlocked an ability that appears afterwards, so there will be some backtracking in this game. There are also some significantly tougher Skill Points than in the previous game, but remember that these are optional, so feel free to skip them if you want. With all that being said, let's get to it!

Glimmer

Gems: 400

Orbs: 3

Talisman: Magic Pick

Skill Points: 0

Fodder: Ladybugs

After the initial cutscenes, you begin the game in Glimmer which serves as a tutorial world. It is part of the Summer Forest realm which we will go to at the end of the level, and is listed after it in the guidebook. Walk forward to talk to Pogo the Gemcutter who tells you about the enemies that have stolen all the Gems in this area, then jump up the steps to get your first few Gems, three red and three green, and destroy the Baskets at the top for some more (two purple Gems, 19/400).

Head back down the steps and up into the area behind Pogo. The Indigo Lizards here will run off, so ignore them for now. From where you jumped up, head into the corner to the right behind a tower to find a secluded Basket (green Gem). Grab the two red Gems and two greens by the giant blue gem stuck in the ground behind you, then jump up into the building nearby to flame a Indigo Lizard. Enemies in this game no longer drop Gems; instead, they release Spirit Particles which are used to activate Powerup Gates.

With your first Spirit Particle in hand, flame the four Baskets inside here (green and three purples), then jump to the stone platform outside with a red and purple Gem on it and up to another one with a gold and purple Gem (65/400).

Drop down to find two Baskets up against the wall (two green Gems), then ignore the steps down and walk along this plateau to the left towards the large Brown Lizard enemy, picking up all the Gems along the way. Flame him and grab two green Gems behind him, then another two to your left back by the central building. Head right from there back towards the start, flaming another Indigo Lizard who will cower, grabbing a purple and three red Gems and destroying another Basket behind a tower (green).

Now drop down the steps behind where that Indigo Lizard was cowering, grabbing the Gems as you drop down and flaming three Baskets (three greens). Continue along the path for two red Gems in front of a line of three more Indigo Lizards. Past them, get two Baskets on your right (purple and red) and head further right for two more red Gems in front of a step with a green Gem on it (124/400). Now walk into the cave opening nearby to speak to Zoe the Fairy.

Head into the cave to grab two red and two green Gems and destroy two Baskets (two purples) past another Indigo Lizard who runs off. Follow the tunnel and grab another purple Gem before coming out into the cave proper. Get two green Gems and flame both Lizards here; the one on the right was chasing Whiskers who will stand next to a ladder once he is saved. You won't be able to climb this ladder until you get the Climbing ability later on, so forget about it for now.

Turn around and get the two Baskets against the far wall across from this ladder (two green Gems), then drop down a step, getting two red Gems and one green (157/400) near a bear with a Gem bag. This is Moneybags, a character you'll love to hate as he keeps appearing to block your progress throughout the game and requires you to pay him Gems to proceed. He asks for 100 Gems at this first stage which you'll already have, so pay up to open the bridge to the other side of the cave.

Before heading over it, drop down the steps to the left of Moneybags, grabbing a purple, green and red gem, then sweep along the bottom of the cave underneath the bridge to get one purple, three red and three green Gems, Flame two more Brown Lizards and get two Baskets on the far side hidden behind a gem pillar (gold and green). Jump back up the steps and head along the bridge now. Zoe stops you on the middle to inform you about using

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to look around.

On the other side is another Brown Lizard, two green Gems by him and two Baskets (two purples) by the steps on the right. Jump up those steps and head through the tunnel to collect two red Gems and flame another Indigo Lizard, then drop down to speak to Twitchy. He'll give you the level's Talisman, a Magic Pick, and the portal to Summer Forest will open nearby. Ignore it for now and grab the single green and two red Gems here, as well as the Basket (gold Gem, 227/400).

Jump up the step on the left from where you entered and follow the path, collecting a red, purple and two green Gems, to head into an outside area. Get another red Gem ahead and four green ones on the step, then sweep around this area counter-clockwise to get everything.

There are five green Gems along the circular path as well as an Indigo Lizard running away from you, another two green Gems secluded behind the tower next to the Powerup gate, another Brown Lizard also near that gate, two Baskets up against a rocky wall along the circular path (two purples) and four more Baskets secluded on either side of the giant building we just entered here from, two per side (gold, green and two purples).

Finally, take the Whirlwind at the back of this area near where the Brown Lizard was up onto a platform; turn straight around and glide over to the platform past the Whirlwind to reach one more Basket (Gold Gem, 302/400).

Now head to that glowing gate and speak to Kanga next to it. If you've defeated all the enemies up to this point, the gate will be active and Kanga will give you your first challenge; use the Superfly powerup that the gate gives you to Flame all six Gem Lamps in this area. You get the achievement for this level by Flaming all of the Lamps within 15 seconds which is not particularly difficult, but unfortunately, the achievement is known to be glitchy.

Before we take care of the Lamps, use the Superfly to get up to a ledge with a tower on it, straight ahead from the gate on the other side of the area. On the platform, there's three green Gems and a red one as well as five Baskets (gold and four purples, 339/400) around the tower.

Now head back to the Superfly gate to go for the Lamps; enter it from the side Kanga is stood on and fly left for the first Gem Lamp, then turn right and follow the path around to get all the remaining Lamps. The final one is behind where the Superfly gate is. Once they're all lit, don't skip the cutscene and speech that Kanga gives you; let them play out before hitting

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to get your first Orb 1/64: Gem lamp flight outdoors. If you did it within 15 seconds, basically meaning that you did it all in one flight, you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Hypersonic

Glimmer: Light 6 gem lamps in 15 seconds

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

I didn't get the achievement until after Kanga did his speech and gave the Orb to me, which is why I said not to skip the speech as doing this might interfere with the achievement in some way. If the achievement doesn't unlock for you, try going through the Superfly gate again and Flaming all the Lamps a second time within 15 seconds; lines will come out of each of the Lamps connecting them to the tower in the middle and this has made the achievement unlock for some people. If it still doesn't pop, try entering into the level again later and repeating the process and you should hopefully get it then.

Now head left from the Superfly gate and on the wall behind the purple Gem Lamp, you'll find a cave opening; head in and grab two green and one purple Gem on the steps before talking to Bounsa. He gives you another Challenge; use the rocks that he gives you to hit all six of the Lizards that have been eating his Gems. Walk into the first rock he throws to automatically put it in your mouth, then press

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to aim at the Lizard on the ledge ahead and press
How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to spit it out at him.

Once the Lizard is hit, Bounsa will run off outside; follow him and use the Whirlwind again to get up to the platform he jumps on. Use another rock to hit the second Lizard on the ledge across from you. Drop down and follow him again to hit the Lizard up on the ledge where he stops; you'll have to aim to hit this one. Bounsa will run off again, this time back into the main caves; follow him until he stops at the bottom of the area underneath the bridge and use another rock to hit the Lizard high up on the pillar by the steps.

Follow Bounsa from there back into the starting area until he stops by a rock wall with the fifth Lizard atop it; this one moves along the wall, so wait until he has moved and when he stops, spit the rock out to get him. Finally, Bounsa jumps up onto the stone platforms where there were Gems earlier; head into the central building and up onto the platforms from there to reach him, then aim up to the top of the building for the last Lizard. This one also moves, so wait for him to stop before shooting. With all six Lizards taken care of, Bounsa will give you Orb 2/64: Lizard hunt.

To finish up the level, head back to the Superfly gate and use it one last time to fly into the small cave we originally found Bounsa in; up on the ledge where we shot the first Lizard is one final Basket (purple Gem, 353/400). We can't get the remaining Gems and Orb until we unlock the Climbing ability later, so head back into the building to go through the portal to Summer Forest.

Homeworld 1: Summer Forest

Gems: 400

Orbs: 4

Talisman: N/A

Skill Points:

Fodder: Sheep and Frogs

After another cutscene, you'll be in your first Homeworld. Get the Butterfly Jar immediately to your right for an extra Life, then head straight ahead to the wall for a red Gem behind the tree. Jump over the river from there and grab two red Gems and one green on the other side as well as another Butterfly Jar, then turn right and grab two green Gems off the steps. Continue past them to grab a red Gem on the left in the middle of the trees, then jump back over the river for another two red Gems and follow the outer wall to the left to grab one last red Gem (14/400) by the base of the ledge the Glimmer portal is on.

Now head back up the steps we passed and grab a purple Gem as you speak to Elora at the top. She'll explain that you need to retrieve Talismans from each of the worlds that you visit in order to aid the fight against Ripto. Head past her for another purple Gem and turn left through the doorway for a Basket (gold Gem), then turn back right to grab two red Gems up against the wall.

Drop down to the bottom of this area to grab two green Gems on this side of the river, then jump over to the steps and head up them, grabbing one green and five red Gems on the way. Hunter will have appeared by the bridge; speak to him to learn about gliding. Grab the two red Gems on the bridge, then glide over to the doorway ahead and grab another four red Gems as you go through it (55/400).

Time to sweep for all the Gems in this area. Turn immediately left and head forwards to the grassy wall for a single red Gem, then follow the wall to the right for two Baskets (two purple Gems). Swim over to the platform the Colossus portal is on and grab the two red Gems behind it, then head over to where Moneybags is standing.

He'll teach you how to swim underwater for the small fee of 500 Gems which we don't have at this point. Jump up the step past him for two red Gems and two Baskets (two purple Gems), then head straight forwards to the wall for a Vase (pink Gem, 105/400). These are the equivalent of the Metal Chests from the first game, requiring a Charge to break them open as your Flame attack won't do anything to them.

Follow the wall to the right of that Vase around to get three green Gems and find two more Baskets (two purple Gems). Turn back around and head straight forward to the platform with the portal for Idol Springs and get the two green Gems and two Baskets (two purple Gems) on it, then get the two red Gems by the wall to the right of the nearby steps and head to the other side of the steps to find a secluded Vase (purple Gem). Now jump up the steps to get three red Gems (145/400) and talk to Hunter again at the top.

Hunter now gives you several tests of your agility which will teach you some of the basics of the game. Hold

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to jump up to the first platform with a green Gem and speak to Hunter again. Glide to the next platform with three greens, then use the new hover move by pressing
How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to reach the ledge ahead and jump up to speak to Hunter again. For this last platform, you need to walk towards the edge, then jump and glide at the height of your jump before hovering to reach up to the platform. Get two more green Gems here (155/400) and speak to Hunter to get Orb 3/64: Hunter's challenge. After he's given it to you, you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Well, You Might as Well

    Summer Forest: Complete Hunter's challenge

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

We can't get anything else here until we've got that Swimming ability off Moneybags which we still don't have enough Gems for. To minimize backtracking, we're going to go slightly out of order and do the Colossus level first before Idol Springs as we do not need Swimming to fully complete that level, so drop down and make sure you've got 155 Gems before entering into the portal for Colossus on the platform in the water.

Colossus

Gems: 400

Orbs: 3

Talisman: Gold Statue

Skill Points: 1

Fodder: Penguins

Right off the bat, turn around and grab two purple Gems and three greens before speaking to Brother Harry here. Drop down into the area ahead and Charge into either of the two goats here, and you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Using your Head

    Colossus: Charge a Goat

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

The other Goat, and the rest throughout the level, can just be taken out with your Flame attack if you prefer. Get two Baskets (two purples) and a single green Gem on the left side, and two more Baskets (purple and green) as well as two red Gems on the left side (37/400). Continue up the steps to speak to Brother Arnie who will open the door to the next area. Move onwards and collect three red Gems on the bridge, then collect three greens to the right by the wall and destroy two Vases (two golds) between the two hockey statues.

The nearby Yak has to be Flamed to defeat it; don't get too close to it as it will roll into a ball to try and hit you! Continue left further into the level, walking along the left wall to grab two more red Gems and one green, defeat another Yak and get two more greens past him. On the other wall is a Basket (purple, 79/400). Speak to Brother Clive ahead for him to raise a bridge to the next area, and then to Zoe on the other side who will remind you that large enemies generally cannot be Charged and must be Flamed.

Before jumping the gap ahead, drop down into it to grab two red Gems and three greens on the steps leading back up. Head over the gap and defeat the Yak and two Goats, then head around the area to the left, getting three greens by the wall and two Baskets (red and two greens) before running into Zoe again next to a Powerup gate. She explains that you need more Spirit Particles to activate this gate. Continue on to the right to grab two Baskets on either side of a doorway (two purples, 108/400), then head through the doorway.

On the left wall inside is three red Gems, and three Vases are ahead next to a raised platform (three greens). Turn right to go down the stairs into another room, grabbing three red Gems as you do so before speaking to Brother Curtis. He will cause a statue in this room to raise up and down. Head around behind the statue to get a Butterfly Jar, then over to the other side of the room for four Vases in a row (two purples and two greens).

Now jump onto the statue when it is lowered and take it up to the top of the room. Step off onto a platform with two Baskets (two greens), then glide over to the other platform for two Vases (two purples). Continue along the platform for a green and red Gem and go through the doorway. You're on a platform at the top of the first room now; get two Baskets on the left (two greens, 155/400) before speaking to Zoe again for a reminder on gliding at the top of your jump for maximum height and distance.

Put that into practice to glide down to the platform below with two green Gems and two Baskets (another two greens). Jump up the step for a red Gem. Outside, defeat all three of the Goats here, then return back to the doorway and follow the wall around to your left to sweep the area. You'll get three red Gems, two greens and one red by a cliff edge, and three Baskets (three red Gems) back near the doorway.

Speak to Brother Ned who you passed earlier, in the far-left corner of this area from where you entered, and head through the doorway by him to the Yeti. Get ready for... nothing, as a statue falls from the ceiling and crushes the Yeti. Ned speaks to you again and rewards you with the level's Talisman, a Gold Statue, and the portal back to Summer Forest opens up nearby. Grab the purple, two green and two red Gems in this room (187/400) before jumping out one of the windows on the right side of the room.

You'll end up on a ledge; follow this around to the left to grab three green Gems before finding an ice rink ahead. Skate along it to grab all of the Gems, then jump up the steps on the other side of the area to grab three purple Gems (255/400). At the top, speak to Brother Kipp who will challenge you to a game of Hockey against the goal-keeper. Say that you're ready to start the game and the challenge will begin.

You'll now be down on the ice rink against your opponent and have two minutes to score 5 points against him. Skate up to the hockey puck to put it in your mouth, then head towards your opponent's goal and stick to one side of it so that the goal-keeper is leaving the other side of the goal open, then when you get close enough, turn to spit the puck out into that other corner and it should go right past the goalie, scoring you a point. Once you've nailed this technique, repeat it another four times and you'll easily get Orb 4/64: Hockey vs. Goalie as your reward from Kipp.

Now he challenges you to a second game, this time a one-on-one match against an opponent. Say that you'd like to play to begin this next game. You have to be the first to score five points to win this challenge, but there's also a Skill Point up for grabs for completing a perfect game, meaning the score is 5-0 to you. If the opponent ends up scoring and you want the Skill Point, you can leave the rink early until the scores disappear from the top of your screen and return back to try again.

You're aiming to get the puck into the red goal and have to prevent the puck from going into the blue goal which is yours. To begin with, your opponent will head for the puck, so chase him down and Flame him before he gets to it, causing him to fall over, and pick the puck up yourself. Once you have it, your opponent will move into position to defend his goal; keep away from him as he can hit you with his stick to make you drop the puck. Use the same technique as before to score a goal. If you're quick enough, you can get to the goal before your opponent so he's not in the way, but otherwise, you'll have to dodge around him.

Once you've scored 5 points, you'll get another reward in the form of Orb 5/64: Hockey one on one, and if you managed to do it without the opponent scoring against you, which is not terribly hard as long as you're quick to prevent the opponent getting near your goal with the puck and you're accurate with your shots, you'll also get Skill Point 1/16 (Perfect in Hockey). You can always come back to this level to try the challenge again later if you're struggling.

Now leave this area entirely, heading back along the ledge that led you to here and dropping off at its end to take some stairs around the corner up to the area from earlier. Head around the building in the middle here to find the Powerup gate is now active; this one is a Spring, allowing you to jump high up into the air. If the gate is not active, backtrack through the level to find any enemies you have missed for their Spirit Particles.

Take this gate up when you're ready to jump onto the wooden ledge around the large building from earlier (not the smaller one in the middle of this area). Head left to grab a purple, red and two green Gems behind the building, then go around to the other side of the building and head inside to speak to the Professor. As you do, an Evil Spirit will fly off; the Professor now tells you that you have to find and Flame ten Statues that the evil spirit will infect. Get the three baskets in this room (one gold and two purple Gems, 285/400) before doing anything.

Head back outside to find the two Statues on either side of the doorway are now infected. Flame both Statues 3/10, then look down at the edge here to find a lower section with some treasure. Flame the Rocket on the corner to break open a Sealed Chest on a raised platform in the middle of the area, then collect the two red Gems and three Vases (one purple and two green Gems). Drop down to the ground and use the Spring powerup here to jump over the wall and back up into the area with the other Spring powerup.

Use that Spring to jump up to the ledge at the top of the building here and collect four purple Gems, then glide from this ledge to the roof of the building where the Yeti was. Grab three red Gems on a ledge on the other side of the roof and follow it into an icy cave. Inside here, get a green, gold and two purples as well as three Vases (gold and two purples, 361/400) and another Statue 3/10.

Walk straight out the cave and off the edge to land on the ledge from earlier leading to the hockey rink and turn right to find Statue 4/10 in the corner. Continue along the ledge, dropping off at the end and taking the steps up to the previous area, and you'll see Statue 5/10 to your left by the central building. Now jump onto the low wooden wall on the right overlooking the area from earlier in the level, where there's another Spring powerup, and glide from here onto the platform where the Sealed Chest was to collect its contents (two green and four purple Gems).

Glide to another ledge ahead with two red Gems where you land, a Yak and Goat to defeat, two Vases (two purples) and a red and green Gem on the far end of the ledge (400/400) as well as Statue 6/10. Drop down by the doorway where Zoe is floating and head through it; to your right on the other side, tucked in a corner, is Statue 7/10. Head further back towards the start of the level and around the corner to your left are another two infected Statues 9/10.

Finally, head back through the doorway where Zoe is and jump over the gap, then turn right and head into the building. Head right again into the room where the statue was raising up and down; on the other side of the room is your final Statue 10/10. As you Flame it, you'll automatically warp to the Professor and he'll reward you with Orb 6/64: Evil spirit search. The level should now be 100% complete, so head out of this building and drop down to go to the building where the Yeti was before leaving through the portal.

Summer Forest Revisit

Back in Summer Forest, we now have enough Gems to pay Moneybags, so head straight over the water to him and give him the 500 Gems needed to learn how to swim underwater. Now we can explore the rest of the level, but before diving into the water here, backtrack through the doorway behind you from Moneybags and go all the way to the wide-open grassy area with the Glimmer portal, where we began when we first entered this world.

As you head past Elora and enter that area, head to the right to find a pool which you can dive into by using

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
. Get the two red Gems and two Bottles here which have to be Charged (two purple Gems), then follow the path at the bottom of the pool, grabbing another red and four greens along the way. Surface at the top and jump up onto the ledge with two green Gems, then jump up the steps for another red and two greens (188/400). At the very top, you'll find Orb 7/64: On a secret ledge.

Jump down into the water below back in the main area and dive in, following the left wall for two red Gems and a Bottle (purple Gem). Around the other side of the area is another Bottle (purple) secluded in the corner. Swim back out from here and through the giant doorway, getting three green Gems in the tunnel before surfacing at the end.

In this room, get the five Vases spread around (five purple Gems), then jump up the steps for two red Gems. At the top, you'll find a red button; Flame this to open the door. Get the two Baskets in this next room (two gold Gems, 253/400) then flame the Button to open the next door.

Zoe talks to you on the other side to remind you about collecting Orbs and Talismans. Head right in this room to speak to Elora; she's next to another ladder which you can't go up until you get the Climbing ability from later. Jump up onto the platform with the Hurricos portal for two red Gems, then onto the platform with the Sunny Beach portal for another red Gem. Left of that, by the stairs, is a red Gem and a Butterfly Jar. You can speak to Hunter in the corner to change your camera mode from Active to Passive if you want.

Jump up the stairs, grabbing two green Gems and then at the top, two purple Gems and two Baskets (two golds) to the left. Head through the open doorway on the left for two red Gems on the steps and another two red ones by the wall straight ahead (295/400). Talk to Elora on the left here; you have enough Orbs for her to open up the portal to Ocean Speedway here for later.

To your right is another button by a door. Leave this button alone so the door remains closed and jump up onto the window ledge for two red Gems. Now look to your left along the wall outside to spot another window ledge; glide over to it and use your hover to land on there for two green Gems, then drop down to the two Vases (two purple Gems, 311/400). Through the open door ahead is Orb 8/64: Behind the door; if you Flamed the button from earlier, this door would be closed.

Jump back up onto the window ledge and drop down, getting three Baskets (three gold Gems) against the wall, then speak to Moneybags. He requires 400 Gems to lower the wall he is standing by, which you should have at this point, so pay up and the wall will lower to reveal the Aquaria Towers portal. Jump over to it and collect all the Gems spread around it, two red and six green, then grab a single purple Gem by a doorway. Head through that doorway to find two Baskets (two purple Gems) and the Talisman Door which won't open until we recover all the Talismans from this Homeworld.

Now head back and through the other doorway by Moneybags for two Vases (two golds, 390/400) and Flame the button to open the door to the room from earlier. That's all we can get for now as we still can't finish the level fully until we learn how to Climb, so backtrack through the doors and to the water which leads out to the first area, then head around the other side of the hill in the middle of the area with Hunter stood on top of it to find the portal to Idol Springs.

Idol Springs

Gems: 400

Orbs: 2

Talisman: Jade Idol

Skill Points: 1

Fodder: Bugs

Walk straight forward when you begin to speak to Foreman Bob. Head right of Bob for two red Gems, then head past the Idol on the steps to the other side where there are three reds and two greens. Head back over to Bob and get the Basket near him (purple Gem), then follow the line of nearby Gems to the back of the area for four more red Gems and two purples.

Now dive into the water here and sweep along the floor for four purple and two red Gems as well as four Bottles (four purple Gems), then head through the tunnel for two green Gems and surface for another seven greens by where you emerge into this new room (88/400).

Speak to Foreman Bud here and he'll challenge you to solve three puzzles. The first puzzle is right next to him and it's one that you might be familiar with from other games, requiring you to turn all of the blocks yellow by jumping on them, changing the colour of the one you jump on as well as the two blocks adjacent to it. The solution for this is very simple, though: just jump on each of the unlit corner blocks in a clockwise order and they'll all end up lit.

Bud tells you to meet him out by the pond for the next puzzle, so return through the water tunnel and surface on the other side to find Bud stood on a platform near the idol head. Speak to him to begin the next 'puzzle': you have to feed ten fish to the Hungry Idol head by Flaming them into his mouth as they jump past you, but he will only accept blue and yellow fish and the achievement for this level requires you not to feed him any red fish. The key to doing this is to be patient. The fish surface for a second before they jump, so just be careful not to jump the gun and make sure the fish isn't red before Flaming it. Once you've fed him ten Fish without any of them being red, the puzzle is complete and you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Bad Sushi

Idol Springs: Do not feed the Hungry Idol any red fish

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

If you fail this, you can enter the level later and start the challenge again; you'll have to return to where you first found Bud and redo the first puzzle before getting a shot at this one again. The final puzzle is further into the level, so once you're ready to move on, go to the idol on the steps and Flame him so the worker can open the door behind him for you.

Grab two red Gems in the room on the other side and continue on. The smaller idol enemy with the metal shield has to be Charged. Grab three red Gems to the right of him and Flame the idol on the bridge holding another worker. He'll open the next door for you. Get two Vases to the right of that door (two purples) and defeat another enemy to the left of it with a green and red Gem behind him (106/400).

Jump up through the now-opened door and grab the six red Gems around the room, then through to the next area where there are another three red Gems on your right. Defeat another shield enemy to the left and grab the two green Gems by him, then jump up to the next area to defeat three more enemies; the larger one was chasing another worker who will open the next door. Grab the Butterfly Jar and Gems spread around this area, four red and green each, then continue up the steps through the next door for another six red Gems in this room.

In the tunnel are four Gems loose, two greens and a red and purple, as well as two Vases (green and purple) and two Baskets (green and two purples). Defeat another large enemy here also so the worker being chased by him can open the way ahead; in the next room is another six red Gems also (172/400).

In the next area, defeat a small enemy ahead and grab two red and two purple Gems on the right and two Vases on the left (two green Gems). Flame the large enemy holding a worker on the steps as well to open the way ahead. Before going up there, though, by the large idol head is Bud again with the final puzzle to take care of.

This last one requires you to jump on the stones in front of the idol head in the correct order. The order has to do with the number of sides the shapes on the stones have, so the order to follow is Blue Circle, Green Moon, Orange Moon, Orange Square and Green Star. Once you've done it correctly, you're warped back to the room you first found Bud in where he'll give you Orb 9/64: Foreman Bud's puzzles.

Return from here right the way back to where we were and jump up the steps to the right of the stones, where that last worker was, to enter the final room. Grab two red Gems on the left and speak to Foreman Max with the hard hat to get the level's Talisman, a Jade Idol, and open up the portal to Summer Forest nearby. Jump up the steps by Max and get three Baskets over the water (three greens), then follow the water to a platform with another Basket (gold) and two green Gems (208/400).

Head back to Max and out the other doorway to his left for two red Gems, then jump up to the Basket (gold) and glide over to the platform with two reds and two greens up a step. Glide across the gap at the end to another green Gem, then head right and jump up onto the ledge for two purple Gems. Now take the steps down into the area below with a Supercharge gate, grabbing two green Gems on the steps and then sweeping around the perimeter of the area for two reds, three greens and three purples as well as a Basket (green, 267/400).

Providing you've defeated all the enemies up to this point, the Supercharge gate will be active; head through it and charge around the area to destroy all six of the platforms that the Hula Girls are stood on. You have to destroy them all in one Charge, though, or the Girls will return back onto their platforms. This can take a few tries, but just memorize the path you have to follow and use gentle movements of the

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to prevent veering off course. Once they're all free in one Charge, Hulagirl Stella will reward you with Orb 10/64: Hula Girl rescue.

Now jump back up the steps out of this area and then onto the ledge on your left, where the purple Gems were, to glide over from there to the raised platform on the right with a red Gem. Jump from there to another platform with two Baskets (two purple Gems) and drop down on the other side for another two Baskets (two purple Gems). Follow the path onward for four red Gems, then glide off at the end to a platform with two more Baskets ahead (two gold Gems). Jump up onto the ledge on the right for three green Gems as well (318/400).

Now look from this spot down into the area with the Hula Girls. Left of the platform in the middle where they are now dancing, you'll see a giant idol head sunk into the ground. Glide over to this and use a hover to land on top of it to earn yourself an easy Skill Point 2/16 (Land on Idol).

Now head up the steps again and back along the platforms to where you just were, and head left from there to continue along the top of the level. Glide onto the treetop ahead for two Baskets (two purples) and across the next gap for another two purples, then jump up the step for two greens. Turn right from here to glide onto another platform, then to the next one with three green Gems. Past that, jump up a step for two Baskets (two purples) and head forwards to find a Rocket overlooking the starting area.

Flame this and it will explode a Sealed Chest on the platform behind the giant idol head. Glide around the idol to land on that platform for a green, gold and two purple Gems that the Chest held, then dive down into the water to get the remaining Gems from the Chest around the base of the platform, one gold and two purple (400/400). That should be the level 100% complete! Now backtrack your way through the level right the way to the room with Foreman Max and head through the portal to Summer Forest.

Back there, dive into the water by the Colossus portal and swim back through the tunnel, following the path from there to make it to the room with the Hurricos portal, and head on into it.

Hurricos

Gems: 400

Orbs: 3

Talisman: Gear of Power

Skill Points: 1

Fodder: Rats

Just to note before we start, the achievement for this level is earned by defeating all of the Robots, but you have to take care of them all in one life for the achievement to unlock. This is not particularly difficult to do as the enemies in this level are still pretty easy to take care of, but be careful until you get the achievement and recharge your health with Fodder when you need to, and as always, come back into the level to try again if you fail. The same also goes for the small Windmills that you can destroy if you want to get a Skill Point, although these will all respawn to get again if you die.

Right as you start, get two green Gems to the right and speak to the blue guy, Zapp the Electroll, who'll explain that you need to collect Diodes which look like lightbulbs to get through the electric gates in this level. Get the first Diode nearby and flame the large enemy, a Gear Grinder, then destroy the two Baskets (two gold Gems) and walk up to the gate to turn it off.

In the next area, jump up to the left, grabbing four red Gems and a second Diode by the Gear Grinder. The first Windmill (1/7) is behind him to Flame or Charge. Turn around from there and jump up on the raised platform with a gold Gem and Basket (gold), then drop down by the nearby gate and grab two more green Gems by the platform (52/400) before turning off this gate.

Drop down near the gate for another Windmill (2/7), and grab the Diode behind it. There's also another Gear Grinder and the first Robot nearby which has to be destroyed with a Charge. Jump up a nearby step for three greens and another Gear Grinder and Robot to take down. Grab the four red Gems along the edge of this area, then jump up onto the raised platform in the middle for two Baskets (two purples).

From here, you can spot two more Baskets on top of a large and high-up platform; look to the side of it for a ramp and glide over onto it for four red Gems, then jump up onto the platform for the Baskets (two purples). Drop down from here to the area with two more Baskets (two purples), a Windmill (3/7) and two red Gems. On the other side of the first gate we opened is another platform; glide over and hover onto it for two red Gems (88/400). Finally, head through the second gate we opened earlier and proceed through the next one.

In the new area, Flame the Gear Grinder and grab a red and purple Gem on the right, then follow along this wall for another Diode, two green Gems and a red, a fourth Windmill (4/7) and two Baskets (two red Gems). Continue following the wall around for another red Gem, then head around the area to defeat all of the enemies; three Gear Grinders and three Robots. Near the unactivated Powerup gate in the middle is a lone red Gem and a Windmill (5/7). Head to the land by the electric gate near that for a Diode and two green Gems (120/400) along the wall.

Follow the wall around from these Gems to the other side of the area for two Baskets (two reds), then head right for three Vases (three purples). Behind the platform here with the boiler thing on top of it is your sixth Windmill (6/7). Jump up the steps onto the platform and grab three green Gems around the boiler, then glide off the right side of the platform into a tunnel in the wall. Follow it for three reds (146/400) and you'll emerge in an area with an Orb challenge.

Speak to Amper to find out your task: replace the Lightning Stones in the sockets to lure out and defeat all ten of the Thieves trying to steal them. To begin, drop down into the area on the left and Flame the Thief running around the area here, then spit a couple of the Stones into the empty sockets; they're on little platforms on the sides of the giant generator things in the middle. Now jump back up and head over to the area on the other side and take out the Thief here, then spit the Stones into the sockets.

A Thief will now have re-appeared in the first area; head back over there and take care of him before replacing the Stones, then back to the second area for the next Thief. It's pretty tedious, but rinse and repeat this process until all ten Thieves are down. Once that's done, place all of the Stones into their sockets to fully power the machinery. Amper will reward you with Orb 11/64: Stone thief chase.

Now take the tunnel back out of this area and head to the electric gates near the Powerup gate from earlier. Open both up and grab two purple Gems in the room between them, then head through to the new area.

Flame the Gear Grinder and grab the red and green Gem behind him, then jump up to the left for two Vases (two golds). Drop down and continue along the left-hand side of this area for four Baskets (two golds and two purples) and three green Gems further ahead by another Gear Grinder and Robot to defeat. Head right from the nearby electric gate and along the outer edge of the area to run into two red Gems, and jump up beyond them to find a Diode and another Gear Grinder and Robot pair.

Continue along the edge to the two Vases (gold and purple) and jump up the ledge behind them for four more reds, then head around the corner and up another ledge for a Basket (gold). Head around the next corner and drop down for two more Vases (two purples) and another Gear Grinder and Robot. If you've taken down all of the other Robots in one life, this should be your last and you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Exterminate

Hurricos: Defeat every robot in the level

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

Grab the Butterfly Jar by the building ahead, then turn right from there for a purple Gem down a step and a green Gem by the circular fan. Now use the Diode to open that gate we walked past and get three Baskets and three Vases inside (six purples, 292/400), then speak to Brainy nearby for the Talisman, the Gear of Power. The portal opens up nearby as well.

Now if you backtrack to that Powerup gate from earlier that was inactive, providing you've defeated at least 18 enemies, it will now be an active Supercharge gate. Use it firstly to Charge into the Sealed Chest across from it (gold, green and two purples), then Supercharge again into the giant windmill to the right of it and Flame the button behind it to slow down one of the fans in this area. Directly across from that button, behind you, is another windmill to Supercharge; destroy that for another button to slow down the other fan.

Now you want to Supercharge back through the tunnel into the final area and turn right to find another windmill to crash into with another button behind it that slows down the fan here. There's one last windmill along the wall directly to the right of the tunnel; Supercharge through the tunnel again and do a U-turn to the right as you exit to crash into it. Jump up the steps behind it for two green Gems and three reds at the top (321/400) and speak to Kosmo here to find out there's another Orb up for grabs if you can glide all the way to the factory.

These next glides can be tough, so remember to use the hover with

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
when you need to. Glide over to the nearby rooftop for two Baskets (two purples), then jump onto the fan blades which have now slowed down and take them over to the next rooftop with two more Baskets (two purples). There are giant platforms here to your left moving in and out from the wall; jump up the first two as they come out, then past the third one as it moves back into the wall to land on some steps. Jump up them to a ledge with two Vases (two green Gems, 345/400) and glide over the gap to Watt to retrieve Orb 12/64: Factory Glide 1.

You still have further to go for your next Orb! If you fall, a Whirlwind appears by this ledge so you don't have to glide back here. Grab the three green Gems here, then glide onto the next set of fan blades. Try to glide to the end of the blade nearest you and hover to land safely on it. Now ride it around to the other side so you can glide over to the blades of the next fan. Ride these around so you can glide to the top of the electric gate from earlier with two green Gems, then over to the top of the next gate from there with two purple Gems.

If you look down to the right from here, you'll see a ledge with two Baskets and a purple Gem. Glide down to it and get the Gem, then destroy the Baskets (two golds) as well as the last Windmill (8/8) to finally get Skill Point 3/16 (All Windmills) if you were trying for it. Past this, you have more platforms going in and out of the wall to glide onto, but it's tougher this time as falling will send you straight into the water. Wait for the first platform to move back into the wall, then glide onto the second one behind it and quickly onto the third one, then up to the ledge on the other side before the platforms retract.

Once you're safely there, Spike tells you to turn off the switch for the factory inside the nearby room; grab the two purple Gems on the ledge behind him (400/400) then head into the room to hit the button, shutting down the factory for good and earning your reward from Spike, Orb 13/16: Factory Glide 2.

That will be this level 100% complete. To leave here, jump up onto the ledge where the purple Gems were and up again to see a rooftop below; glide down to it and follow the roofs around to end up back in the final area, then drop down and head into the building to go through the portal to Summer Forest.

Back there, the portal to the next level, Sunny Beach, is to your right.

Sunny Beach

Gems: 400

Orbs: 3

Talisman: Turtle Medallion

Skill Points: 0

Fodder: Starfish

As you start, speak to Prince Tortiss ahead, then grab three red Gems along the wall and flame the nearby big Turtle so he stands on the switch to open the gate. The baby turtles will run on through and dive into the water. They'll safely swim into a later part of the level; let them go off and swim along the surface to the right of the gate to jump up into a little section with a red and purple Gem and another Turtle. Jump up onto him and up into another area.

Up here, get the two baskets (two golds), then jump up to take care of the Water Worker enemy, being careful of his electric attacks, and grab another two Baskets (two purple Gems) and six loose Gems, three red and three green. Across the other side of the water is another area to glide to with two green Gems and six Baskets (gold and five purples, 86/400). Drop back down into the water and dive down to the floor for five green Gems and three reds, as well as five Bottles (five purples).

Note the giant box here as well, then swim through the tunnel on the other side for two green Gems. Surface on the other side and defeat the Snorkler in this little pool, then jump up for a green Gem and two reds. Defeat all four of the enemies here, two Water Workers and two Ducks (these guys require two hits because of their rubber ring they are wearing), then head over to the left for two Baskets on the edge (two purples) and find three purples and another Basket (gold) nearby (167/400). To move on, Flame the Turtle here onto the nearby button to open the way onward.

Head through the door and get a Basket (gold Gem) and a lone purple Gem, and flame another Turtle here onto the next button. Left of that button is another lone green Gem. Continue through the opened door and defeat the Water Worker and Duck, then head left for another Water Worker and grab two purple Gems in the corner by the doorway past him, then through the doorway for two greens and three more purples.

Remember this room with a button for later, then head back out and grab two more purple Gems on either side of the platform with an inactive Powerup gate on top, and another two on the platform itself, then two more on the platform with the turtle, Advisor Gromit (243/400).

Now head up the steps with three green Gems and up to a platform with a Duck and a Basket (gold), then up another step for a purple and two greens and another Basket (purple). Continue along the bridge for two red Gems and a Water Worker to defeat, then grab two greens by the pool and Flame the two Snorklers in it. Dive down into the water yourself and follow the tunnel for four more greens, then surface again on the other side.

Jump up onto land here and defeat another Duck, grabbing a purple and two greens behind him. Dive back down into the deep end of the water and swim along the floor for seven greens and a purple (make sure you get them all behind the giant box) as well as two Bottles (two golds). You can also kill the Snorkelers on the surface if you want. Swim back up and jump to the platform on the right side of this area with three green Gems by a ladder (341/400); we'll have to return to this ladder later when we can Climb to get some Gems and Orbs.

Now swim back over to the central platform and flame the Turtle on it to guide him right the way up the ramp and onto the button at the top. Grab three green Gems through the open door and get the Talisman, a Turtle Medallion, from King Fromit as your reward for herding the Baby Turtles all the way here. The portal back home opens up in this room.

Now dive back into the water, on the far right-hand side from where you exit the room with Fromit, to head back into the previous area where the Powerup gate will now be an active Superflame gate. Speak to Advisor Gromit nearby to receive your challenge; you have to use Superflame to destroy all seven of the boxes that you've seen around this level and free the baby turtles inside them.

Walk through the Superflame gate and destroy Box 1/7 near it on the edge of the area, then jump up the steps and get Box 2/7 by the bridge leading to the final area. Get Superflame again and head through the doorway to the left of Advisor Gromit to the room with a button from earlier; stand on it to open a door with a box on the other side, then face the box and press

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to send a fireball into it (Box 3/7).

Get Superflame again and backtrack through the level and past the giant open doors to the area from earlier where you first encountered Ducks; there's Box 4/7 at the back of the area and Box 5/7 up on a ledge to the right which you'll have to press

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to aim for. Destroy the Sealed Chest on the raised platform in the middle before your Superflame runs out as well and mop up all of the Gems it drops on the platform and around it (380/400).

Now head back for Superflame and this time, quickly backtrack to the same area and dive down into the water on the left to go back through the tunnel to the first area; straight ahead as you exit the tunnel is Box 6/7. For the last box, get Superflame a final time and quickly go up the steps and along the bridge to get to the final area, then surface and go around to dive into the other side of the water for the final Box 7/7 before your Superflame runs out. Once you've destroyed that one, you'll warp back to Advisor Gromit and he'll give you Orb 14/64: Blasting boxes.

That's all we can do for now as we need to come back when we can Climb to get the remaining Gems and Orbs as well as the level's achievement, so make sure you have 380/400 Gems, then head back to the final area once again and up the ramp to find the portal to leave.

Back in Summer Forest, from the portal, head up the steps to the right and flame the button ahead to open up the doorway on the right, then head through it to find the Aquaria Towers portal on the other side.

Aquaria Towers

Gems: 400

Orbs: 3

Talisman: Enchanted Shell

Skill Points: 1

Fodder: Sheep

Head right as soon as you start to grab three green Gems behind a tower, then head back left to speak to Ripple the Seahorse. He tells you that you need to raise the water throughout the level. Flame the Water Worker ahead and ignore the button for now, then turn right to defeat two Crabs and get the Gems: a Bottle (purple) and a red and two greens on the left plus three greens on the right by another tower. Drop down into the hallway by the button to grab three more reds (25/400).

Now you can hit the button to drop water into this area. Swim through the hallway and dive down past the wall for three green Gems along the floor, then destroy two Bottles (green and purple Gem) and grab two green and two red Gems at the end. Surface and jump up onto land.

Grab three green Gems to your right and follow along the wall to get a Butterfly Jar; ignore the opening to your right for now as the water inside has deadly Robosharks which we can't destroy until later. Dive down into the water past the Jar and grab a purple and two green Gems next to a Crab on the floor, then continue forward to Charge through three Bottles (three purples) and another Crab before grabbing three reds at the end (77/400).

Surface and jump up onto the land at this end and continue along the wall to defeat another Crab and grab three more reds. Finally, you'll come out by a Crab and Water Worker in the middle; defeat both and head into the room behind the Worker to grab two green Gems and three reds as well as a Bottle (purple, 92/400).

Now hit the button outside to fill this room with water as well. Swim up to the surface and jump onto the steps on either side of the bridge for a red and two green Gems, then walk onto the bridge for three more greens and grab two reds by the small pool of water (105/400).

Dive into the pool to the bottom for three green Gems, then follow the tunnel for four enemies, two Water Workers and Crabs each to defeat, and five red Gems, then one green and another three reds as well as three Bottles (three green Gems) at the other end. Surface here and jump up to find Moneybags. He'll ask for 100 Gems so you can use his submarine. Pay up and you'll automatically jump in the sub and take it through the Roboshark-infested tunnel.

As you exit the sub, you'll automatically jump straight down to the ground in this next room, landing on a purple Gem. Drop down and defeat the two Crabs and a Water Worker, then grab the red, purple and three greens littered around the room as well as the four Bottles (green and three purples, 161/400). Hit the button here to fill the room up with water.

Turn around and grab the two purple Gems by where you jumped out from the sub, then continue on through the small tunnel with two reds and a Crab. On the other side, you're back in the room you began in, but at the top of it now. Swim down to grab three reds and three Bottles (gold and two greens, 190/400) then speak to Hoppo the Seahorse here to receive the Talisman, an Enchanted Shell, and open up the portal here.

Now that we're back in the starting room, the Superflame gate will be active, allowing us to take care of two things: all of the Robosharks, and hidden Seaweeds if you want another optional Skill Point.

To begin, get Superflame and swim through the tunnel on the bottom here into the second room you entered; on your left as you exit the tunnel is Seaweed 1/12. Swim up and over to the right into the opening where the Robosharks are, and keep your distance as you destroy all four Robosharks 4/10 here, then destroy the Sealed Chest as well (gold, red, two greens and two purples) and the two Seaweeds 3/12 here as well if they are still standing. Swim back out into the main room and up to the very top behind the tall tower to find two hidden purples (225/400).

Head back to the starting room and get Superflame again, but this time, head through the tunnel at the top to go back into the room the sub took us to. You can now dive down into the Roboshark infested tunnel where the sub was and swim through it to take care of the first four Robosharks 8/10 here, as well as the Sealed Chest they're circling, then continue on to destroy the last two Robosharks 10/10 at the end. Once they're all dead, you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Lockjaw

    Aquaria Towers: Destroy every Roboshark

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch

Destroy the three nearby Seaweeds (6/12) before your Superflame runs out as well, then swim back through the tunnel to mop up everything: three purples, five greens that the Sealed Chest dropped and four Bottles (gold and three purples, 275/400).

Now swim back over to the starting room and look for a hole in the ceiling above where the button is; swim up through it into a gigantic new area. This is where all of the Orbs and remaining Gems are, so let's sweep around and take care of the Gems first. Swim around the hole you enter from first to get one red and five greens. Swim right from here to the building in the middle and grab a purple Gem to the left of its tunnel, then swim through the tunnel for five greens and destroy three Bottles (three purples) on the other side.

Swim back through the tunnel and head left to get a red Gem and purple one past it, then turn left from there and follow the path of five reds leading up to a seahorse who we'll talk to later. Continue past him and to the left to find a red Gem and two Bottles (two purples) next to a platform with Hunter on it, then turn left again for a lone green Gem (340/400).

Now swim up and look for the tower with '1' written on it; on a bridge of sorts connecting it to another building are a purple and two gold Gems. Turn right from there to find another bridge connecting two buildings with two Bottles on it (gold and pink, 400/400). It's easy to miss Gems up here, so use

How to climb in Spyro nintendo switch
to point you to the remaining ones if you've fallen short.

Time to take care of all the remaining Seaweed up here as well. Swim back down to the starting room to get Superflame, then back up the hole in the ceiling to the top area. To your right as you emerge are two Seaweeds (8/12). Swim over to the tower with '1' on it for Seaweed 9/12, then left from there to Hunter's platform for the nearby Seaweed 10/12. Turn right from that one over to the seahorse we ignored earlier and get Seaweed 11/12 by him. The final Seaweed 12/12 is on the other side of the two towers connected by a bridge to the right of him.

It might take a couple of trips back and forth to get Superflame, but once they're all destroyed, you'll get Skill Point 4/16 (All Seaweed).

Now we can finally get all the Orbs here. Talk to the seahorse, King Flippy, first; he'll challenge you to get to the top of all of the numbered towers and rescue seahorses inside them. The door to Tower 1 to the left blows open; head inside and wait for the electricity to disappear before Charging up to rescue the first seahorse. Head to Tower 2, the building in the center of the area that has a tunnel in its bottom, and head inside; there are two electric gates you'll have to carefully avoid to make it to the top this time before rescuing the seahorse.

Now dive back down into the starting room to find Tower 3 here. There's just a single Crab you have to defeat here. to rescue the seahorse. Swim back out and to the right of the Superflame gate for Tower 4. This one has three electric gates one after another; wait until the furthest one is active, then charge up near it and past it when it disappears to reach the next seahorse.

Head back down and through the lower tunnel to the second area and to the other side of the tall tower here, Tower 5, to enter it. There's one electric gate and two Crabs past it; take care of it then charge past the electric gate at the top when it's safe for another seahorse.

The final tower appears back in the final room where you exited the sub from. Swim there however you want (it's faster to backtrack to it through the starting room), then head up into the tower. This one has electric gates that move up the tower; carefully follow them up until it's safe to reach the top and the last seahorse. You'll end up back by King Flippy and receive Orb 15/64: Seahorse rescue from him.

Now head from here over to Hunter's platform and talk to him: he challenges you to tame his manta ray by riding it through a course of bubble rings. This is pretty simple to do as long as you follow the seahorse 'dropping' the bubble rings so you don't miss any. Get all of them and Hunter gives you Orb 16/64: Manta ride I.

You then have to take him again through a 'harder course' for another Orb, but it's not much harder really. Again, just follow along behind the seahorse and don't lose sight of him so you don't miss any rings. After the 10th ring, you'll be circling upwards around a building for the next five rings before following the last two back to Hunter's platform. Once you've done that, you'll get the other Orb 17/64: Manta ride II from Hunter.

That should be this level 100% complete, so swim back down into the starting room and up to the top section to find the portal back to Summer Forest.

Back there, head through the rightmost doorway and Flame the button to open up the door to the room with the portals for Hurricos and Sunny Beach, then Flame the button on the wall to open up the door on the other side of the room. Head through it, up the steps and left into the portal for Ocean Speedway.

Ocean Speedway

Gems: 400

Fodder: N/A

Time for your first Speedway, or Flight Levels as they were called in the first game. You're tasked in these level to fly through or destroy four sets of objects, with 80 Gems given to you for each set you destroy and another 80 Gems for the All in One bonus you get for destroying all of the objects in one run. The key to these levels is figuring out the best path to get all the objects in. The order I recommend here is Rings, Cars, Boats and finally Arches.

As you begin, follow the path of the Rings ahead. They will curve left and head under a bridge through a rocky tunnel. After the last one, fly to the road ahead which you see a Car driving on and begin a Charge to land on it and go left through its tunnel. Head along the road this way to Charge into all eight of the Cars as they come towards you.

You should get the last one just as you come around a hairpin bend. Jump off the road to the right as you destroy him and begin a glide again into the section with all the Boats. These guys loop around the area in a figure-8 pattern, so hit the first Boat coming off the furthest ramp ahead of you and track the figure-8 path in reverse as best you can to Flame the rest of them as you come to them. Don't worry if you miss any; you've got plenty of time to fly around the area and get them all.

Once the last one is down, fly through the first Arch on the far side of the area from where you entered and follow their path around. After diving down for the fourth one, you'll have to come back up for the fifth around the corner to the left. Dive back down for the sixth and head low along the grass to go under the bridge for the seventh, then flap up using

to go over the wall and back down on the other side of the final Arch. Once you've got everything, you'll get the All in One bonus and all 400/400 Gems.

There's also an optional Skill Point up for grabs here if you can finish the course in under 1:10 seconds. The timing is tight, but it's possible. If you didn't get it on your first run, hit 'Retry' to find that the timer is now counting up so you can go for a faster time. Follow the same path as before; you'll need to nail the Boats as efficiently as possible to prevent wasting time doubling back for them and ideally be finished with them in under 50 seconds to get all the Arches in time. Once you've successfully got a time of under 1:10, you'll unlock Skill Point 5/16 (Under 1:10).

Now hit 'Retry' to go back into the level and angle left as you start to find an audience stand with cheering fishes overlooking the Boats. Land on here and Flame all of the fishes (except for the female one in the middle who can't be Flamed), and you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Warm up the Crowd

Ocean Speedway: Flame all of the audience members

That female fish, Queen Finny, can't be Flamed as she has an Orb challenge for you. For the Orbs in the Speedways, you have to find hidden characters like this. Speak to her and accept her challenge of a race.

It isn't a race exactly, but it's similar to the manta ray courses from Aquaria Towers: you have to follow a course behind Hunter as he flies through the purple rings. Just keep right behind him so you don't miss any of the rings. Be prepared after the fourth ring for him to dive down to the right into a tunnel for the next rings. After that, the next tricky one is the eleventh ring, which requires you to dive down through it as you turn left into the tunnel. Continue to follow him and you'll soon have all 20 rings. Queen Finny will reward you with Orb 18/64: Follow Hunter.

That's everything done, so crash down into the water and select 'Quit'.

Back in Summer Forest, head straight forward and jump out the window to the area with the Aquaria Towers portal, then head through the far right doorway to the Talisman Door which will now open with all six Talismans from this Homeworld in hand. Drop into the hole on the other side to enter Crush's Dungeon.

Boss: Crush's Dungeon

Gems: N/A

Orbs: N/A

Talisman: N/A

Skill Points: 1

Fodder: Sheep

Unlike the bosses in the first game which had their own full-blown levels, the bosses here are fought in circular arenas where there's no Gems or any other collectables to find and they are generally more difficult to take down. This first one isn't too bad though, and there's an achievement for defeating him without Flaming or Charging any Fodder as well as a Skill Point for pulling off a perfect fight. Fodder will only appear if you take more than two hits from full health (making Sparx green), so avoid taking too much damage and you won't have any of them to worry about.

To begin with, Crush will walk around between the blue buttons spread around the arena. When he stands on one of these, he'll have a shield around him as he sends two shockwaves along the floor to easily jump over. Get up close when he is vulnerable as he walks between the buttons and hit him, then move away from him as he smashes the ground with his club, causing rubble to fall on top of him and take some of his life away.

After doing this twice, the buttons will now turn orange. When he stands on these, he'll fire two orange energy balls right at you. Zigzag around them from side to side, moving towards him at the same time so you can quickly Flame him before he gets to another button, then move away again as he hits the ground, dealing some more damage. Repeat this once more to enter the next phase of the battle. If he chases after you, stand still until he catches up to you, then quickly move away right as he starts to attack before you get by his club and the falling rubble.

In this final phase, there's a mixture of blue and orange buttons and he'll now fire out three attacks in a row. Continue to dodge the attacks as before and Flame him when he's vulnerable, then stand still when he chases you to lure him into attacking and causing rubble to fall. After three more hits, Crush will be defeated. If you managed to do it without using any Fodder, you'll unlock:

  • S2 | Conservationist 1

Crush's Dungeon: Complete the level without flaming or charging any Fodder

If you did it without getting hit at all, you'll also unlock Skill Point 6/18 (Perfect). This is not a terribly hard boss fight at all with some practice, so it shouldn't take long to get the achievement. (You can unlock permanent Superflame at the end of the game, but it actually doesn't make this fight any easier, so just get the achievement now before moving on.)

As Crush is buried under rubble for the last time, you'll get two cutscenes before ending up in the next Homeworld, Autumn Plains!
