How to get thistle needles in grounded hot and hazy

In Grounded, you'll need to use everything at your disposal to have a fighting chance against the many creepy crawlies actively trying to kill and eat you. A great tool in this rather uneven fight is the bow and arrow. You'll get the bow near the start of the game but will need to craft arrows in stacks of 10 from Thistle Needles. Thistle Needles are only found in certain areas of the map so to help you save time we've marked the best place to get Thistle Needles. Be aware that there is a strong beetle in this area that spits acid at you. You can check out this guide on beating it or simply steer clear . When in the right area you'll see Thistle plants with violet flowers on them. This is where you'll need to go.

How to Get Thistle Needles

To get Thistle Needles from the plants you need an axe. You'll have likely picked one up already but if not head over to this guide. Hit the plants with an axe and Thistle Needles will be automatically added to your inventory.

If you want to craft some arrows and start taking out bugs from afar then you're going to need to get yourself some Thistle Needle. It isn't too hard to find, but you might have to make a pretty good run across the garden to find it.

You can get Thistle Needle in Grounded by chopping down Thistle plants. These can be found by looking for the bright purple flowers that bloom from them. Try to get somewhere high and look around for one, then run on over and chop at it to gather the needles.

The thistle plant is just one of the purple blooms you'll see in Grounded. So, make sure to find the one that looks like the image shown above! There's at least one spawn you can find near the oak tree where you find acorns and grubs. Once you find one of these, you will need to take out your axe and chop at it. Each swing should get you some Thistle Needles!

Once you've gathered up plenty of these, you'll want to create yourself some Arrows to attack bugs from far away! You can also make a Spiky Sprig which is an upgraded weapon that does quite a bit more damage than the spear.

The best place to find them is in Spade Gulch, but you can also find them near the giant oak tree and south of the Mysterious Machine. Another location to find them is going to be the Oak Tree.
