switch somewhere that would do this or is this something only machanic can do? Senior Member
Join Date: Aug 2000 Posts: 199 With the structure of the door being curved, there is no way you can make you window go all the way down, because the glass has no place to go. 05-03-2001, 06:33 PMAdministrator iTrader: (10)

The doors aren't long enough. Measure the height of your rear door window. It is 17 inches. Now open the rear door and visualize where the trailing edge of the glass would be if the window was rolled down 17 inches. It's not inside the door! 05-03-2001, 07:36 PMSenior Member

Go to a junkyard, buy a new set of front doors and install them on the rear. Might need duct tape to help close the gap. BTW, a 12 pack would be in order 05-04-2001, 02:43 AM Senior Member

I always wondered what those were but I was scared to use them. I live in Houston and those little buttons would be a big help. LOL 12-23-2001, 11:20 AMAdministrator iTrader: (10)

Can you make back windows go down all the way?Rear windows don't go down only part of the way as a safety measure; they do it simply because they physically can't go down any further.
Why won't my window roll all the way down?Construction of the door
The primary reason why most car (especially rear) windows don't go down all the way, is because they physically are unable to go down any further than that. Normally this is because the door itself wraps around the rear wheel wells instead of just going straight down.
Do the back windows in model Y roll all the way down? The rear windows do not go all the way down.
