Due to sodium nitrite in our injection used to prepare and cook the turkeys, the flesh color of smoked and fried Honey B Ham turkeys may be pink (pinkish juice may also be present). Follow the heating guidelines for the best results, and any meat that remains pink is acceptable to eat. Please keep the turkey refrigerated at all times. A meat thermometer is the best way to ensure that the turkey is cooked safely. Place the thermometer in the thickest part of the inner thigh, away from the bone. ALL MEAT (even any that remains pink) is safe to eat once the thigh meat has reached 180 degrees. How long should a HoneyBaked turkey breast be heated?

It’s entirely up to you. We offer both smoked and oven roasted turkeys, depending on whether you prefer the smoky flavor offered by the smoking process. You may also serve both and give your visitors the option.
How do you reheat a HoneyBaked Ham that has already been cooked?
If you want to heat the ham, only heat the slices you’ll be using, not the entire ham. Individual spiral slices can be wrapped in aluminum foil and heated. Cover the entire ham (or portion to be used) and bake at 275 degrees F for about 10 minutes per pound if using a standard oven.
Is it possible to freeze HoneyBaked turkey breasts?
The HoneyBaked Web site only recommends freezing leftover ham for up to six weeks (obviously, they haven’t considered that anyone would freeze a complete ham or turkey breast and not eat most of it right away!)
It’s worth noting that they don’t mention chilling the turkey breast. They allow you to store ham in the refrigerator for a little longer than turkey (7 to 10 days vs. 5 to 7 days), but they plainly prefer you not to freeze their bird.
However, if you put it in the freezer as soon as it arrived, it will be perfectly safe. The concern is whether the quality will meet your or the HoneyBaked’s expectations. Because spiral-cut hams and turkey breasts have a lot more potential surface area than normal hams and turkey breasts, ice crystals are more likely to harm the flesh or cause freezer burn.
Furthermore, because turkey has a coarser grain than ham, it is more likely to decay in the freezer’s harsh environment.
It is edible and safe in any case. Take it out of the freezer, thaw it for no more than two days in the refrigerator, and give it a shot. If it’s gritty or dry, or if it has a freezer burnt flavor, go to Plan B. (Do you have a backup plan in case something goes wrong? It’s always a good idea to have a backup plan.)
