The Union x Air Jordan 4 Off Noir is the latest collaborative footwear silhouette set to launch between Jordan Brand and Union Los Angeles. The duo have teamed up before to huge success and this upcoming release looks set to be just as popular as the first collaboration. Opting for the legendary Air Jordan 4, a model designed by Tinker Hatfield, this collaboration follows on from the ultra-hyped Air Jordan 1s that launched from Union and Jordan Brand as a collab last summer. Releasing alongside a Guava Ice colorway that will be exclusive to Union stores, the Off Noir Jordan 4s are based on the original sketch of the AJ4, and showcase never-before-seen features such as the stitched down tongue. Chris Gibbs (Union founder) adds his signature touch to the Union LA x Air Jordan release in the form of the neat colorway and the translucent wings that support the laces on either side. Nike Air branding is located at the heel tab, while a stitched Jordan logo is present at the tongue.

Underfoot, a light bone coloured midsole conceals a visible Nike Air unit under the heel, a key Nike Air Jordan 4 feature. These are looking set to be one of the most hyped launches of 2020, as fans are already eagerly awaiting this brand-new Union x Jordan collaboration.

In collaboration with Union, this Air Jordan 4 dons a black suede upper that's paired with a blue ankle collar, clear wings on the sides, which sits atop a sail-colored tooling. Release date is Oct. 16, 2020 at a retail price of $250.

Following the success of the Air Jordan 1 collaboration, Union Los Angeles has more up its sleeve with Jordan Brand. The LA staple is cooking up a tandem of Air Jordan 4s rumored to drop in August. As we near the presumed release date, images have finally emerged.

One of the two rumored pairs of the Union x Air Jordan 4 comes in suede and mesh as an off-black, blue, and red combination arrives on the shoe. The shoe features a foldable tongue that originally took many by surprise (us included). In addition to that, perhaps the most eye-catching detail is the shoe’s cream midsole and tongue. Other details include translucent wings and box similar to the shoe with a heavy dose of cream along with Nike Air branding in red in the back.

After getting pushed back by a couple of weeks, the Union LA x Air Jordan footwear capsule will finally be back for another round tomorrow, this time exclusively for the North American audience. Touted as one of the biggest collaborations of 2020, the collection will be distributing the Jordan Zoom ’92, the Jordan Delta Mid, and the Air Jordan 4 “Off Noir” colorway, the latter of which is easily the pair that sneakerheads, whether they’re looking to flip or keep in their stash, will be gunning for.

Right now, the AJ4 pair is currently listed on the resell market between the $545 to $795 range depending on size which in today’s game isn’t too astronomical, but given the bitter taste left in consumer’s mouths for those who took L’s on its initial release after being stumped with the now-haunting “What color is an orange?” question, you can anticipate even people trying to cop at retail this time.
