Introduction to my review of a Lemon Mint Leaf scented candle from Bath & Body Works:

Here I am once again with another review of a new Bath & Body Works scented candle – the fragrance – Lemon Mint Leaf from Bath & Body Works new “Fresh Picked Home” collection.  I can’t seem to get enough of these candles! Candle lovers… if you haven’t tried some of Bath & Body Works new scents… you need to high tail it over to their nearest store and sniff some of these. They’re awesome and you’ll be hooked!! Especially if you catch one of their awesome 2 for $22 sales… $11 a candle makes it totally worth it.

The label on Lemon Mint Leaf just says Bath & Body Works so I don’t know if this is a Slatkin & Co candle or not… it doesn’t say. This collection is simply labeled under Bath & Body Works.

The candle is 14.5oz and in their classic wide straight glass with 3 perfectly placed wicks. The wax color of this candle is a super light mint green. The label has a yellow checkered background with 2 big bright lemons and spearmint leaves.

What did my Lemon Mint Leaf candle smell like?

I couldn’t wait to light this candle the moment I opened the box. It smelled exactly as I imagined… a sweet lemon scent with a touch of spearmint. Here is the scent description from Bath & Body Works site:

“A refreshing mix of freshly cut lemon balm and spearmint blended with soothing vetiver and zesty citrus.”

Smelling the candle cold, I could smell the lemon and spearmint clearly…. the spearmint smelled so fresh, you almost think you were holding freshly picked leaves in your hand… totally well done!! Burning this candle almost gives a totally different fragrance though. To my nose, the lemon was not as pronounced, it took on more of a citrus/herbal vibe. I looked up the properties of “vetiver” and lemongrass is an association and that’s definitely an element I was smelling.

I could literally smell this candle all day, every day. It’s really soft, soothing and refreshing all at the same time. It reminded me of one of my favorite drinks… mint mojitos. The spearmint smelled so realistic, I couldn’t get over it. I swear you think they threw freshly picked spearmint leaves in this candle.

On a scale of 1 to 10, this candle was around a 6 to me, maybe a 7. Not a super room saturating strength like some of their other scents but it was still awesome. I could smell the scent the moment I walked into the room. It just didn’t travel farther than the room I had it burning in.

Closing to my review:

Closing word to this review –  LOVED! This is a scent I’d burn year around and never get tired of it. But then I’m a lemon scented candle freak so no surprise there. Lemon Mint Leaf
