5.0 out of 5 stars Way better than my previous tires
By Gabriel Gibson on June 28, 2021
For me, it's actually made the ride softer versus the street tires I had on them before. Which wasn't an issue, the reason I got these is they were absolutely terrible in the rain. To the point I no longer drove on the highway in the rain, those street tires were that dangerous. These Venoms are far superior.
I have a little less grip than I used to when the roads are dry, but I've put 600+ miles on them in the last 2 days so I've gotten a pretty good feel for them. So I can't corner as fast as I used to, and that's okay. I drove around 200+ miles in the rain today on the interstate for the first time in over a month and WOW. What a difference. Never felt them slip once. I was able to maintain hwy speeds with no issues. Which is why I bought these in the first place. So I'm extremely happy and feel much safer driving in adverse conditions.
As far as the road noise? Negligible. Perhaps those having issues have poor insulation in their truck, or maybe as you see my side exhaust it's constant loud rumble overpowers most of the road noise. I only really noticed it when I was coasting(exhaust wasn't as loud), smooth pavement, and when you're doing 70+. But most of the time between my exhaust and if I'm playing music, I don't hear it. I'm in a 04 F150, so it's an older truck, but I also have extra insulation in my door panels and rubberized paint underneath the the length of the truck that might also be stifling some of the noise.
Last but not least, and was the last reason I would ever buy tires, is they do look really good. It added some style to my truck so that's an added bonus for me. Safety was my top priority and these succeeded there in my book. And at a great price. I feel like $800 was a steal, not like I got cheated. If these continue to perform well for what I wanted them for, this will be the only tire I buy from now on. They might have just earned a customer for life.

Venom Power is a tire manufacturing company based in China. Venom Power is known for its high-quality all-season aftermarket tires for SUVs and light trucks. They carry a wide variety of high-performance and all-terrain variations and they guarantee first-rate controllability and a safer driving experience.
The Venom Power Terra Hunter XT is a hybrid tire. This means it combines the best characterisitics from mud and all-terrain/ all-season tires into one to create a tire that performs well both on and off the road. The Terra Hunter XT is technically considered to be an off-brand tire.
If you try looking up Venom Power's website, chances are you won't find it since there was a lot less spent on advertising for this tire than some of the other name brand tires out there. This isn't necessarily a bad thing because it keeps the price of this tire pretty low.

Getting right into the actual design. The tread design is very squared off and you see a lot of angled side biters along the sidewall which gives a very aggressive, beefy look to it.
There are small tread blocks with tread voids going throughout the center of them. This ensures that there is plenty of rubber hitting the road and reducing noise, while the larger tread voids toward the outer part of the tread provide evacuation channels. This should give you great all-weather performance and help get rid of excess dirt, water, or mud that gets stuck in the tire.
Although there isn't enough siping to help fully handle winter weather conditions, there is enough siping to help create better on and off-road performance.
