And ya know being that Kevin was a material witness in a crime I'm sure the police never stopped by for further follow up etc.

Also no one responded to this. Serious conspiracy theory
Makes sense, Harry = Tommy DeVito.
ETA: 1990 was definitely a great year for Joe Pesci. Won an Oscar and was in the #1 grossing movie of the year.

Also, why would Marley leave him alone after rescuing him from certain death/torture?

Maybe that was intentional so Buzz would slip on it.

I know Uncle Frank gets crapped on, but I feel like he's a sympathetic character. Peter has done well for himself to the point where the "Wet Bandits" identify his house as their priamry target. Rob has enough bread to live in Paris, fly 14 people to and from Paris, send 2 kids to school in Chicago (either U of Chicago or Northwestern) and still keep his house in NYC as we learn in the sequel. Frank is obviously poor, the black sheep of the family, and is rasing a son that pisses the bed. His wife is overweight, he doesn't have the looks or charm of Peter. On top of it all, Kevin is a complete dick. He is a little jerk.
By the way, has anyone dug up what kind of racket Peter and Rob were into?

If that were true, then he certainly would have sent someone to get Kevin.

Why is John Candy such a savior? She could have easily rented a car and driven much faster than John Candy's gigantic van back to Chicago from Pittsburgh, but instead I think Mrs. McCalister was DTF and want to play someone's trumpet on the way back.
