What is Bud Light Seltzer out of office?

AB InBev‘s Bud Light brand has unveiled a new limited-edition Out of Office hard seltzer variety pack, in time for “what would normally be the beginning of vacation season”.

The seasonal variety pack features four ‘vacation-inspired’ flavours: classic lime margarita, watermelon mojito, mango mai tai and strawberry daiquiri.

Bud Light says that each flavour has an ABV of 5% and less than 1g of sugar and 100 calories per serving.

The new offerings are made with cane sugar, natural fruit flavours and no artificial sweeteners.

“Since launching Bud Light Seltzer, we put a lot of effort into building out our portfolio to deliver delicious flavour profiles and the variety seltzer fans have come to expect,” said Andy Goeler, vice president of marketing, Bud Light.

“Our new Out of Office variety pack builds on Bud Light’s fun, delicious seltzer offering, while encouraging fans to take their well-earned time off with one of our vacation-inspired flavours in hand. It’s definitely unlike anything you may have tried before.”

The new Bud Light Seltzer Out of Office variety 12-pack will be available in the US nationwide from 1 March for a limited time only. 

At the end of last year, Bud Light introduced limited-edition hard seltzer varieties for the holiday season, featuring ‘ugly sweater’ designs and festive flavours.

— If you’re ready for a vacation then Bud Light Seltzer has got what you need. Today, Bud Light unveiled a new limited-edition seltzer variety pack dubbed “Out of Office” just in time for Spring Break and the start of vacation planning season.

The seasonal selection includes four different flavors, each inspired from various vacation-themed destinations. Newly introduced flavors include Classic Lime Margarita, Mango Mai Tai, Strawberry Daiquiri and Watermelon Mojito.

All of the new “Out of Office” flavors are made using only cane sugar, natural flavorings and the same five-step filtration process as other Bud Light Seltzers. The nutritional content is also identical with 100 calories and 5% ABV per serving.

The limited edition “Out of Office” variety pack is set to hit stores nationwide on March 1st just four days before Employee Appreciation Day on March 5th, when Bud Light is challenging legal drinking age hard seltzer lovers to #TasteTimeOff by redeeming unused vacation days.


Though much of the U.S. is still reeling from the aftermath of a blizzard, Bud Light Seltzer is already thinking ahead. Next week, the brand is releasing four new tropical flavors as part of a new limited-edition variety pack. Here’s hoping the flavors have the ability to tansport us somewhere warm — or that they’re as deliciously sweet as they sound, at the very least.

Bud Light Seltzer Seasonal Variety Pack Details

Bud Light Seltzer’s new “Out of Office” variety pack will contain four flavors: Classic Lime Margarita, Watermelon Mojito, Mango Mai Tai, and Strawberry Daiquiri. According to a press release, the pack was inspired by the grim statistic that the average American only uses 54 percent of their paid vacation days. Bud Light wants to change that by encouraging an Out-of-Office mentality. (It’s no coincidence that the pack will hit shelves just days before Employee Appreciation Day.)

The 12-can variety packs will be available for a limited time only, with each flavor clocking in at 5 percent ABV, and each 12-ounce slimline can serving 100 calories and less than 1 gram of sugar. Even though we’re spending a lot of time inside, we’ll be beach-body ready at the drop of a hat.

Bud Light Seltzer Seasonal Variety Pack Release Date

According to the brand, the Out of Office variety pack launches nationwide on March 1 and will be available until May 15. Bud Light is doubling down on the OOO theme by offering to pay fans to take advantage of their unused vacation time.

On March 5th, Bud Light Seltzer is inviting drinkers aged 21 and over to submit their funniest out-of-office emails with the chance of winning $1,000 towards their next vacation. Winners will be chosen weekly. As if that weren’t enough to make us want to kick our feet up, Bud Light is also awarding a $25,000 prize on March 5th, with contest details to come.

Temperatures are (maybe?) starting to rise in many places, which means we're all dreaming of spring and summer. After all, these seasons mean cute clothes, spending more time outside without totally freezing, and enjoying some canned cocktails. Bud Light is way ahead of us in that department, as the brand recently rolled out a new pack of canned spiked seltzers that feels like an instant vacation.
