Instagram shows us that Nasa posts fairly frequently. The site has over 64 million followers, but it only follows 73 other accounts. Instagram also tells us which users we follow together. In this example, we can see that Miley Cyrus, The Rock, and one of our personal friends are also following Nasa.
Well, the difference between what Instagram shows us and what Snoopreport shows us is the private activity of the account. For example, if we want to know if another user is likely to follow us back, we can see which accounts our target profile has followed.
If we manage a similar Instagram account, we can see what hashtags and accounts Nasa has interacted with. This will help us build our own similar accounts while learning about our competition.
Overall, we were quite impressed with the information Snoopreport provided.
Is snoopreport accurate?
Based on our testing, the reports we received matched well with the activity we saw on Instagram. For example, if we follow Nike, we can see that the account rarely follows or interacts with other users’ accounts.
Nike has many followers and posts regularly. However, what the account doesn’t do is interact with other users very often. We tracked the Instagram account and compared the activity we saw to Snoopreport’s reports. Our conclusion is that the snoop report was spot on.
Thanks to the July 2021-August 2021 reports, we can see that Nike often used the same three hashtags, had one favorite user and only liked two other posts.

There are two different ways to see mutuals on Instagram. To see how interconnected your social circles are, go to the person’s account. Tap on your followers to load the main list of people who follow you. If this is a personal account (aka a person and not Glossier), the first people to load will be people you follow who also follow the account. (If it’s an account like Glossier that has over two million followers, the first people that load under Followers aren’t mutuals.)
