I love the show BUTVerified purchase
I purched the show 2 different times before and just paid for the new shows well I turned it on and I ended up paying another around $25 for shows I already paid for and 2 or 3 new shows added to them so I paid that much for 2 or 3 new shows that's ridiculous

They are so funny!!I like following them and wish Tammy loved herself more!!
See all reviewsIt's easy to tell that both sisters have dealt with poverty and have some issues, but I do see Amy at least being motivated by her son. While she's definitely plateaued on her weight loss, and seems to be in a bit of denial, she still gets up and moves around. Seems to have a drive to live and experience things.
Tammy, on the other hand, clearly has no actual wish to loose weight at this point. She is stubborn and rude, and continuously blames others for her own mistakes and choices. At this point, she needs to be in a rehab that she cannot just check herself out of at will. She is going down a very destructive path.
I give her family credit for their attempts. Although it might seem harsh, at what point do you finally admit defeat? Admit that you cannot care for someone who has no interest in their own self care? I hope that we do not get news of Tammy's death but without a change I feel like that is what is going to happen.
Of everyone in the show, my favorite is Michael. He puts up with so much, but it so calm about it. He seems to really love his wife and son, and I'm sure it's not easy to deal with living right next to Tammy. I give him so much credit for being the one to push Tammy around and take her to things.
But let's pause a moment and talk about season 3 episode 9. Goooodnesss Gracious. Tammy insinuates that the family acquired the electric wheelchair for themselves rather than for her, and that it was selfish. But frankly, she must really not be looking at the situation realistically. It is really difficult to push someone of her size around, and as people age it might become even harder. Yes, it's for them. But you can take advantage of that decision and the mobility it might give you. Frankly, Tammy irritates me. Her ungratefulness is mind blowing.
Still, I find myself unable to look away during episodes. Even though part of me wants to reach through the screen and shake some sense into Tammy--- I do find the show interesting.
