focused on achievement or performance results
outcome goals are oriented around winning a competition, or some other structured results such as receiving a trophy or lifting a certain amount of weight. Outcome goals are highly motivating but do not come with guaranteed results. The benefits of outcome goals are closely aligned with the reward from accomplishment and the sense of destination to guide actions. Ultimately, outcome goals are supported by process goals.
While there is a strong relationship with the amount of effort a person puts into their training (process goals) and the body's adaptation to that training (outcome goals), there is always the possibility other factors may influence the results.
