Farms require water to function properly, and taiga turns it all into ice

Only water source blocks with direct sky above them turn to ice. Easy fix is to have a block above the water to keep it from freezing.

I gave Jerry my slave the biome stick. On my ice minion the ice still melts. help

Ice will melt if the biome it is in didn't convert directly, or there are light block too close to the ice. Best to put ice minions in the dark or maybe surround the area the ice forms with block and place half slabs on top of the ice, you could prevent the ice melting this way.

I ended up converting my whole island's biome to the cold taiga biome, but even then, with no light sources even close, the ice minion's ice continues melting. I didn't have this problem before, even when a glowstone minion was close. Any solutions?

Ice melts when light level is 11 or higher, so you either have a light source close enough for it to melt, or you can also use a Night Saver in order to keep it at O Technically you could also just build a roof on top of it
