The HFE is an attempt at making the 1500 as efficient as possible by removing certain parts and including low-resistance tires as standard. This model is only available in 4x2 guise, but is currently only available with the base gasoline V6 engine. The economy gains aren’t that big, and at some point, you will load something on the bed, at which stage it will consume a lot of fuel. Pickup trucks are inherently inefficient, and the HFE’s modifications aren’t enough to change that. It would make more sense with the diesel engine, and this option will hopefully soon be available on this specific model. Show
