I got an abdominal scan at 7 weeks and saw a dot with a flicker so I would think once you're at the 7 week mark you might see something. I don't think really early scans are a good idea as you just end up worrying over nothing in many cases. Your probably just too early to see anything. I had a scan once at 6 weeks as they thought it could be
ectopic (really bad one sided pain) and only saw the tiniest empty sac and no heart beat etc. All turned out fine it was just too early.
