I loved this movie with Barbara Streisand & Kris Kristofferson. This was my first time seeing this version. I love Bradley Cooper and now I am definitely a fan of Lady Gaga. Also a huge fan of Sam Elliott. The music and concert scenes were great. I love the song Shallow and I was so impressed with Bradley Cooper doing all his own singing. He was magnificent. He also, I read had to change his voice to a lower pitch so he sounded like Sam Elliott while speaking. I love his speaking voice. I dont know if he can sing. But the story is a wonderful one, very moving. And Lady Gaga should stay looking like she did in the beginning of the movie. She was so pretty and down to earth. She has an amazing, powerful voice. Loved it. If you havent seen it it's worth renting . You will really like it.

This is a great movie but sort of preposterous also. What beautiful woman wouldn't fall in love with a Rock Star who finds her in a trans bar to turn her into a Grammy Award-winning Pop Queen? Transpose this movie onto a farm and if the man in the movie was a drunken farmer and found a beauty Queen in a Honkey Tonk singing karaoke it's doubtful she'd have left the honkey tonk with him to start a fight in a cop bar. But the hokey story line aside the chemistry between GaGa and Cooper is off the charts and its a nice fantasy to escape to hoping that there is some good in the world somewhere like what exists between these two. Unfortunately, the ending is horrible. It appeared to be glorifying Suicide by making us all feel sorry for the selfish "Bast***" who takes his own life because he can't handle adversity leaving everyone else all around him to live with their grief. Couldn't this just end with a scene of Cooper being a husband and taking the trash out or something? It was entertaining. Nice to dream and get emotional. Great music by these actors. And BTW GaGa is stunningly beautiful without all her props.
