Age of empires 3 best Civilization Reddit

Just what I struggle against playing normal team and treaty games:

Japan in treaty - They have no weakness, but have some of the easiest siege and best heavy infantry in the game. I manage to beat them soundly enough with the Aztecs, of all civs. Aside from treaty games, the safety of their boom on team maps that are larger is just plain annoying to counter.

Argentina revolt on Spain - Was my favorite cheese strategy, but I knew it was busted. I played against it once and prayed never again. Only having to face mash into 2 one pop cav units on 1 resource was mind-numbingly easy, if not fun for someone who knows how bad revolts were before DE. It's good it got nerfed (nearly lost a treaty game vs India yesterday not knowing they'd been nerfed).

Sweden/Russia merc decks - I, to this day, have no idea how to counter this strategy without using agents. But that was more my opponent not knowing anyone would ever use the agents card. With a tranditional army, I've always lost. It's probably just me given I rarely see it, so how op could it be?

Hausa - There are certain civs where, if given enough time to boom like often happens in team games or treaty games, grow out of control. The Hausa creep all over the map and are super hard to root out because of "BROOOM BROOOOM BROOOOM" the whole damn game. They've been nerfed a lot since their launch and they're very difficult for most civs to deal with.

Dutch - I'm not threatened by them in treaty games, but in normal team games the map is just big enough to make raiding and preventing their bank snowball very hard. They always just boom into age 3, charge your base five minutes later with 10 cannons, and it's over. Every single time. Super annoying

guys which one is best civilization do you think (i think inca)

Age of empires 3 best Civilization Reddit

level 1

I'm a British guy myself.

level 1

At this point i wouldn't say thatvthere is a best civ, really. All have their styles. Otto and Haudeno are the best rushers, beits are amazing boomers, Lakota does an awesome job at raiding and dutch are the perfect turtles imo.

But there is no BEST civ.

level 1

France. Amazing economy and great military and cards.

level 2

Swedish Leather Cannons and units are dope also

level 2

France + the samwise12 build is what helped me learn multiplayer years ago.

level 2

Are France really that good in supremacy? They don’t have any strengths that make them stand out imo. Treaty is a different matter altogether.

level 1

Too early to tell if Inca is good. As it a new civ and not many players played it yet consistently as the game itself is unstable.

I played inca exclusive during beta. It felt good when all villagers are maxed out and when kallankas are gathering and when you have extra wood to spare for estates. But in competitive games you rarely get to do everything.

level 2

Game seems fine to me? If a little heavy on resources.

level 2

yeah but the reason is with thr inca i build community plaza and put 10 priestess and 15 villager i get town center 4500+49k hitpoints and when i switch to army damage it increase 80 to 310 siege damage

level 1

Germans and Indians are my favorites.

level 1

I like Ottomans because settlers are built automatically. I love jannies and all their artillery.

level 2

Wish ottos had a better late game. God they have problem vs lancers, currasiers and other elite cav that no amount of horse archers can make up for.

level 1

Personally for me its British. Can boom so fast that they hit 40 villagers before your opponent even hits age 2. Then can rush to keep your opponent occupied(and possibly win if they're unprepared) while pushing age 3 then 4.

But the general consensus is either Sweden or Japan I think.

level 1

Personally I love the aztecs, great food evo and wood, love their units. Second is the ottos, they may be a great abus and jani civ but i also love their cavalry, just fun to use. Third would be India, chop wood hella fast and eles? Sign me up
