Hey everyone, I'm looking for an anime OR a manga that has an MC that doesn't care about anything or anyone but themself.

It would be ideal if they undergo a change where they can start believing and trusting and liking other people again.

Also, bonus points for an MC who is that way because of past experiences.

You know, it's rare that I get a chance to recommend Katoura-San. It's a sweet and rather overlooked show about a psychic girl who.... you know what, just watch the first episode. There's no real way to explain it and make it sound good, but it actually is a pretty fun show. It's nothing groundbreaking but really enjoyable (it also has a stellar first episode with a twisted sense of humor which you should watch, like now, even if you don't plan on seeing the rest of the show).
