pretty much what the title says, i want something where the MC thinks hes no good and hates himself. i would like there to be some romance but that's not a must.

In Bokura ga Ita, it's not the main main character, but the main male romantic interest arguably hates himself. It's not something that's real overt, but it's definitely an aspect of his character. It's romance.

I'd recommend the manga. The anime only adapts half of it.
