Are there HMs in Omega Ruby?

The differences between TMs and HMs are minimal. TMs are mainly used for battle, and can easily be forgotten to make room for another move. HMs are mainly used for exploration in the Pokemon world, such as cutting down small trees and surfing across oceans. Unlike TMs, HMs cannot be forgotten unless you go to the Move Deleter, a man that can delete any move in your Pokemon's move set.

A common occurrence among experienced or competitive trainers are HM Slaves. What's an HM Slave? An HM Slave is a Pokemon who is used for nothing but Hidden Machines. Many players hate having Hidden Machines on their Pokemon, seeing as how each Pokemon can only learn four moves at a time, so they get one or two Pokemon to use all the HMs themselves without training them.

The best HM Slaves that can be found in Hoenn are Linoone and Sharpedo. Linoone evolves from Zigzagoon at level 20. It can learn Cut, Strength, Rock Smash, and Surf. Sharpedo can learn Surf, Waterfall, Dive, Cut, Strength, and Rock Smash. It can even move twice as fast as other Pokemon while surfing. You don't really need HM02 Fly anymore since you can Soar Over Hoenn any time after obtaining the Eon Flute.
