Bed Bath and Beyond dress code

Beanies are great for Orthodox Jews and Muslim colleagues who want to cover the hair comfortably without the safety concerns of a scarf. I don't know if BBBY only hires covered women as cashiers. Not sales floor/ops because of the need to use ladders. A scarf or too big of a shawl/open cardigan can cause you to get stuck or strangle yourself on a ladder. I've never seen a Hijabi Muslim or Orthodox Jewish colleagues in any other departments besides cash. Think of that luxury please.

The aprons are a safety hazard too. If you're stuck up on a ladder and get stuck or caught on something there is no quick release to come off. It'll choke someone. Combining this with a TC holster, walkie, walkie ear piece, mask, hand sanitiser holsters (most associates in Canada sport BBW pocketbac accessories), and in some stores both a mask and shield (I've heard we're supposed to wear both if not behind plexi at front end. But not all stores impose this). I'm just anticipating a royal screw up with all the gear Sales Floor and Ops employees are required to wear. The poor LOD/greater who will have to sport all this plus a strappy tablet for the door count to maintain covid19 regulated capacity too.

I'm for a nicer dress code. I'm an Ops Specialist/Sales Supervisor. I slay like Buffy all day in business casual. Rocking replen, freight, and processing ecomm looking like I'm working in an office as is. I learned you need to be thoughtful in your wardrobe to ensure comfort and professionalism are met at BBBY. Like come on we sell fashion house home essential items. Have big luxury vendors. We aren't Dollarama or WalMart with our target demographic. Looking like we are at their level is better for business. It makes them feel like we also understand quality and value by being presentable.
