Claims should be submitted to Blue Shield of California via the Real-Time Claims web tool or electronically using Electronic Data Interchange, though they can also be submitted by mail.

Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan currently serves Medi-Cal members in Los Angeles and San Diego Counties. In Los Angeles County, we are contracted with L.A. Care Health Plan. In San Diego County, we are contracted with the Department of Health Care Services.

You will not get Medi-Cal if you move out of California. You may apply for Medicaid in the state you move to. If you are moving to a new county in California, you also need to tell the county you live in or the county you are moving to.

You must call Customer Service, (855) 836-9705, to have them cancel your current medical plan because, legally, Blue Shield cannot cancel your plan without your authorization.
