Jun 27, 2011 Hello, stumbled across this forum looking for help. I have an 05 Duramax that Ive had a Bullydog PMT on for a couple years with no issues. Recently, I had to have an EGR valve put on at the dealership. Ever since getting the truck back there seems to be no difference between stock/tow/performance settings. everything on the screen works, pyro boost etc. I
towed my camper home the other night and theres just no power, 65mph at 2500rpm. Joined

most of the time when you take your truck in and you got a tuner there computer cant read the trucks computers so they reflash the trucks computer which erases the tunners inputs. Joined Jun 27, 2011 · 4 Posts

you can upgrade if you want. i upgraded my bully dog tripple dog gt tuner the other day all that was in the upgrade was new background colors. not sure whats in the pmt upgrades. if they did flash your trucks computer, you need to reflash or download your tuner into your trucks computer again. its doin the same thing when you first got the tuner. after you pluged it in to the obd2 connector you had to do some theings on the screen, its doing the things on the screen again. i know with my bully dog on the screen there a option that says download or download tunes. when you select that it downloads or reflashes the computer with the new tunes
from the tuner. Joined

Re: Bulldog GT problems Just put a chip in it from any of the reputable dealers and tuners on here and you will be good to go. I learned that lesson first hand from seeing all the bright shinny adds saying how great there stuff was and such,( edge superchips). Then I sat down and started reading up on stuff and stopped just buying the so
called latest and greatest thing out. Finally just sold off two programmers which paid for my PHP Hydra chip. World of difference. Oh and Welcome!! Joined Nov 11, 2008 · 3,710 Posts

I appreciate that my man, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find a knowledgable soul or mechanic to talk to about these powerstrokes around my town.. It's always, 'well let's throw some parts on it and see if it works'.. Its sad that I know more about my diesel
than a ford certified mechanic because I know how to hop on here and do some research.. Iv only had my 7.3 for 2 years now.. Never owned one before.. I told ford to park my truck outside after I had to explain where the ebpv is haha.. Thanks for the comps by the way! It doesnt take long to have wayy too much money sittin in one of these lol.
