I'm looking at buying a new 4 seater and have narrowed it down to these 2 rides. I am looking for some input from someone who owns one as has ridden with one. The local dealer will let me test drive one but they only let you ride in the parking lot not a very good test. So my questions are these:
1: how does the ride compare to a 4 seat RZR XP
2: how does the turning radius compare
3: how does the power compare
4: how do they compare for noise/ sound level when cruising
5: how are these to do regular maintainance on?
Thank You

I have a 20 MavS Max and my inlaw has a Rzr900s

Just a few things we've noticed as I've had to work on both.

The Mav fit and finish as well as quality is considerably higher, the accessories are better as well. But I do think the rzr is slightly quieter in the cabin but at higher speeds but normal trail where you use a 60" machine they are equal.

Ride in the mav is much better it's close to the XP turbo which is more of a comparison to the X3 max 64" wide, it's also a lot more expensive.

Maintenance is easier on these new 2nd gen Mav vs my 2016.

The power is much better on the maverick especially in torque! It's slow speed maneuverability in hi is very good.

Trailing arm suspension of the XP is much better than any A arm suspension. The 900 has a arms.

I noticed the Maverick at the dealer I looked at had dual rate springs with a crossover but the top springs looked to completely compressed with no load on the vehicle are there any spring kits available for these? Also noticed that the stops for the springs were almost all the way at the top is that normal or is that one not setup right?

That’s how they come from factory. Would need to be set up to your liking.

Yeah for leg room the Pro xp Rzr has about the same leg room but I don’t want to spend the extra 6k for that model. Price wise an xp and MAV sport max are pretty much the same. Are there tunes available for the motor and how far can you safely go with it

That rzr is more of a comparison to the X3, its bassically an X3 base 900ho max but they dont make a max in non turbo. The X3 still has better suspension.

One other thing where the MavS is better is interior storage. I have all the canam interior bags and they are all high quality and very functional.

Does can am use a wet clutch setup in the motor before the cvt like yamaha and Kawasaki do?

Can-Am beats pilaris on every side by side except for one and that is the general. The general is a very well done machine and I cannot wait for Can-Am to update the commander Has its way out dated and could definitely have a refresh to beat the general.

If I were to buy a machine that wasn't can am in the same category as the mav sport the Honda would be my next choice.

I sat in a Honda and a Kawasaki the other day and I didn’t like the way they sat or looked neither would be for me but I guess that’s why we have so many choices everyone has their own style

Love my mav sport max. Tried rzr 900 and general 4. Can am rides the best out of those i have tried. Also they cant compare with the bark of the can am v twin with a yoshi slip on. Big reason for my purchase is trail width restrictions.

Love my sport max but not apples to apples at all . An xp rzr suspension is more travel and better handling as its 4 inches wider. Here a walk around of sport max.

Thanks for that video. There is a lot of good information in there

Is a Can

Can-Am's three-cylinder Ace engine puts out 195 horsepower and is noticeably faster than the RZR. When you stab the throttle, you have to hang on tight and control the beast before it controls you. In some high-traction situations, it feels like the X3 could actually pop a wheelie.

Can

Simply put, the Can-Am is superior to the other vehicle in terms of its performance at higher speeds, which makes it the more rapid of the two. The Polaris, on the other hand, is more of an authentic all-terrain vehicle.
