Stone is a crafting material in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is obtained by hitting rocks with a shovel or axe, or breaking a rock. A single piece of stone may sometimes be found next to rocks. Balloon presents may also contain stone, and a stone may be caught instead of a Fish while fishing.

Obtaining

Stone is one of the most common drops from rocks, and hitting rocks is the primary way to obtain stone. The only rocks that cannot spawn stone are money rocks and gold nugget rocks exclusive to the gold nugget + scorpion mystery island. Another way to obtain stone is through presents, which are uncommon drops and grant the player one stone. Additonally, a single stone can be obtained by fishing from any body of water, acting as a Junk item. It appears with a small shadow size. The flavor text upon catching a stone reads, "Now it's all mine-ral!"

Uses
