Show 5.0 out of 5 stars Clear ice is a near guarantee and a breeze I’ve used it 5 times, followed the instructions using just cold tap water and the ice comes out 99% clear, although with a few errand and tiny bubbles. Tried it with warm water too (ex boiled and also from the tap) the ice is still 99% clear, but has a few less clear bubbles in the bottom, so I guess you could do the warm approach to get it totally clear, but once in a drink, you can’t see it from the side, only the top. It also lasts ages in the glass. A great product, so have bought a second one for a mate who will love this for his cocktails. This is a pearler as it also does 4 ice in one go, but you will need a little space in the freezer to make this work. Also I removed the ice after about 30hrs (longer than recommended) due to time issues and the ice and mould is still easy enough to remove, but you may need to run the sides under warm tap water to help wriggle it loose. Once removed, I put the cubes in a zip lock bag to store it, rinse and repeat. Reviews with images

Images in this review Reviewed in Australia on 12 March 2020 Size Name: Clear Ice Cube MoldVerified Purchase This thing works great. Previously I used Studio Neat's ice kit but it was always a pain cutting up the big block. This gives you 4 cubes at the same time and are mega easy to get out (I remove after 24 hours as recommended) The other thing is all the 'impurities' of the water go to the bottom cubes that you don't use - so you don't need to worry about filtering the water first. I use room temp tap water and it's fine. Recommended! My only improvement idea should be for a second mold that makes 1 x 1 x 1 inch cubes for tall drinks and cocktail mixing Reviewed in Australia on 29 September 2020 Size Name: Clear Ice Cube MoldVerified Purchase Excellent quality, easy to use and comes with instructions. Works perfectly. perfectly clear cubes. Love it! Here's a photo of my first attempt - basically perfect! Images in this review 5.0 out of 5 stars Addio ghiaccio che si scioglie in 5 minuti!! Superbo! How do you get crystal clear ice cubes?Freeze your ice cubes for about 24 hours. Hammond says that slow freezing is vital because it allows enough time for impurities to be forced out of the ice. She likens it to how lake water freezes slowly, so that by the time the lake is frozen solid, the top appears glass-like.
What are clear ice cubes called?Clear ice, also known as large ice, craft ice, or artisan ice, is exactly what the name suggests. The ice has almost the same characteristics as a diamond, it's crystal clear, and without any hint of cloudiness.
How do restaurants get clear ice cubes? The ice cubes are actually constructed gradually in layers to prevent the formation of air bubbles that cause cloudiness. This process is similar to the way that an icicle would be formed in nature.
How do I make my ice cubes clear or cloudy? The only way to make clear ice is to freeze water in one direction so that the dissolved oxygen is pushed back. Water put in an ice tray will freeze from the outside in. This traps the dissolved air in the cube's center, which gives it a cloudy look. By freezing in one direction, air never gets stuck in the ice.
