Can you remove the Samsung S20 screen protector?

I have had my phone for 2 months now and my screen protector is really scratched up, so I was planning on removing it. Is it a good idea to use my phone without a screen protector???

Galaxy S20+ Unlocked International

Yes, you should remove it if it's become too ugly and your screen won't scratch as fast as the protector. However you should get a new one if you wanna keep it micro scratch less

I can't find any screen protector that has good reviews and the ones I found are too expensive

If your phone is "really scratched up" after only two months it is definitely NOT a good idea for you to use it without a screen protector

Honestly I too had it on for a good time. But after removing it, the screen just felt so much better. The one with the phone is pretty garbage. And I feel I'll rock my phone without one rather than having the default screen protector on... Just remove it and enjoy that beautyful screen.

I had the exact same issue. A couple of weeks ago I saw a Ghost Armor pop up stall at the mall, removed the old protector and had the guy apply a new one for me for ~$30. No complaints since but still early days.

I don't really see the point in using screen protectors, unless you throw your phone in your pocket or purse with your keys and other hard stuff. Mine lives in my left pocket and on my desk with the screen facing up, so the gorilla glass is more that enough to keep it pretty much intact. I used my previous S7 edge like that for 4 years, and it barely has a small scratch from one time it fell screen down on some pebbles. People who use screen protectors may have a truly immaculate screen underneath but the protector is always ugly, so it kind of defeats the point.

These factory screen protectors might just have some kind of magic oleophobic coating on them, because even though I bought my S20+ in July, the coating is still basically intact.

It's been months now and no matter how much I slide and swipe my fingers around on the screen, there's still no grease or colorful oil smears to be found.

No, its probably the best one you can have on it with a curved screen phone. You can buy the kits like AmFilm but make sure you look at the procedures on how to install them first, they are not your typical tempered glass.

Also for resale value, you can peel it off or offer it for sale with it on and new owner will have a crisp screen too.

I really want a simple plastic surgeon Protector like the 1 that comes with the phone, anyone know where I can buy this exact plastic protection? I know it sucks but it does prevent scratches and works really well with the ultrasonic, the downside however is that the protection really gets scratches just by breathing on it, so I kinda need to change it more often than I would want to, appreciate every answer I can get

Sort of off topic, but I was an idiot and thought that the plastic cover with the hole in it over the fingerprint sensor was the screen protector, and I walked around with it like that for months. Eventually, I took it off only to realize the actual screen protector was underneath that.

What? So there's two screen protectors? I removed the one with the hole after a week with the phone because it was all scratched, but I don't see another one still on.

To protect your Galaxy phone, while the device is manufactured and distributed from the factory, the front, rear, camera, and side parts of the device are covered with a protective film. This protective film attaches directly to the device, mainly to the charging hole, microphones, speaker holes, and cameras. In the case of the microphone hole at the bottom specifically, a large protective film and a small sticker may be attached in two layers, so even the second small sticker must be completely removed.

If you don't hear the receiving or outgoing sound clearly or the sound is erratically cut off, it may be because the protective film that was attached to the speaker and microphone holes on the device is blocking the holes. In addition, if the protective film attached to the camera is not removed, the picture may be out of focus or cause angle distortion when you take a picture, and you may have a picture with degraded quality.

Remove the factory screen protector These are inexpensive low-end screen protectors that don't do a whole lot and definitely detract from the feeling of using the phone — we recommend you ditch it right away and get to touching the super-strong Gorilla Glass 6 instead.
