Many Pokemon across each region can learn Cut to destroy the little trees that stand in your way, but some Pokemon are better for handling such a task. Here are a few more Pokemon that you should teach the Cut HM.

15/15 Beedrill

Although Beedrill doesn't have blades like Scyther or Pawniard, its arms can easily stab through a tree with great force, especially in its mega-evolved form. Foliage of any kind is no match for Beedrill's strength, which is why many trainers like to bring Beedrill along on their adventure.

Beedrill also has many Bug and Poison-type moves, so it has a diverse move set that you can use to fill its other three attack slots.

14/15 Kabutops

Kabutops is one of the first fossil Pokemon introduced into the franchise, so it has somewhat of a unique reputation. Many fans compare it to similar-looking Pokemon, such as Genesect, and believe it may be the ancestor of many other creatures as well.

Kabutops stands out because of its large blades that rival Scyther's arms. These sharp limbs can easily cut through trees twice their size, not to mention the little plants that block your path throughout each region. If you like fossil Pokemon, then Kabutops may be the perfect creature to teach Cut.

13/15 Honedge

There aren't many Pokemon better at chopping down trees than Honedge since it's a sword that can cut through almost anything with ease. Teaching Cut to Honedge is one of the best decisions a trainer can make, not only for the HM effect but also for battles.

It's almost too natural of a fit to overlook! So keep Honedge in mind the next time you run into a tree in the Kalos region.

Kricketune is one of the most forgettable Pokemon in the Sinnoh region, which is a shame since it has such an original design. However, it's quite a weak Pokemon with low stats and no secondary typing after Bug, so it's not too surprising that many trainers don't keep it on their team for long.

Luckily, Kricketune does have a use, and it's destroying the annoying plants of the Pokemon world with its sharp arms. Like many other Pokemon, Kricketune has blades instead of traditional hands or paws. Kricketune deserves some love, and learning Cut is definitely one of its strengths.

11/15 Pawniard

Pawniard is perhaps the best Pokemon in the Unova region to teach Cut since its entire body consists of blade-like surfaces. It can use its arms, chest, and even head to cut down anything in its path with style.

Additionally, you get to add a powerful Steel/Dark-type Pokemon to your team if you catch a Pawniard, and its evolution (Bisharp) is even stronger. However, it may be easier for Pawniard to use Cut than Bisharp because of its sharp arms.

10/15 Farfetch'd

Pokemon Goh's Farfetch'd Hits Poke Ball

You might not think of Farfetch'd as an ideal HM user due to how rare it is in the original Pokemon Red & Blue. However, the original Kantonian Farfetch'd is one of the only Pokemon in the most recent games to learn this move through leveling up, meaning it's perhaps the most iconic and classic Cut user.

This is likely because it lacks much in the way of other abilities, especially since it didn't get an evolutionary form like its Galarian counterpart. It's not the strongest Pokemon without a high critical hit rate, but it's truly the most native Cut user from the original 151.

9/15 Treeko

Most starters in the Pokemon series can learn HM moves, but few of them can use them as well as Treecko could in Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire. This Pokemon learned a variety of moves outside of Grass-type attacks, making HM moves like Cut significantly more helpful compared to other starters.

This also meant you could save room on your team for other Pokemon rather than dedicating a slot to an HM Pokemon you didn't want to use. It's a unique inclusion in this list, as it's a great Cut user that helps your team rather than just helping you.

8/15 Rattata

Speaking of HM-dedicated Pokemon, a few select creatures are solid picks purely based on how easy it is to catch them. Many Pokemon fans have had certain common species in their team, and Rattata is undoubtedly one of the first and earliest.

This Normal-type rat can't learn a wide variety of HMs or TMs, but the ones it can learn make it a great utility early in the Pokemon video games. Since you only needed Cut in a few places in the original Kanto and Johto games, Rattata was easy to catch and use to clear your path before letting it enjoy an early retirement.

7/15 Bidoof

No discussion of HMs is ever complete without Bidoof, who is undoubtedly the most versatile HM-dedicated Pokemon in history. This Pokemon could learn nearly every HM in the series besides Fly and Defog. But there were plenty of others that could learn these moves, so you could easily fill Bidoof with everything else you could ask for.

When it comes to Cut, Bidoof also seems surprisingly flavorful, being a beaver who can cut trees down using its massive and impressive teeth. Bidoof isn't the classiest Pokemon, but it's one of the most common users of the Cut HM for several good reasons.

6/15 Scyther

Scyther is generally known to cut things very well, thanks to the large scythes it has in place of hands. While it can't give you a safe hug, it's a perfect candidate to learn Cut. It's easily one of the most unique Pokemon to learn the HM, even if it's oddly unable to learn it through leveling up.

Scyther also has one of the highest physical attack stats of any Bug-type Pokemon, meaning this solid Normal-type move is just as good in battle as it is for cutting trees. If you're lucky enough to find one of these rare mantises, Cut will definitely not feel like a waste of an attack.

5/15 Kingler

Kingler is a crab-themed Pokemon, so it's no surprise that it gets a spot here with its massive claws. Kingler ended up being weak when it first arrived in the Pokemon series, but with its high physical attack, it could use moves like Cut far more reliably than most Water-types, which generally rely exclusively on Special Attack moves.

Fans love this crab Pokemon for its design, but it can also easily cut and slice both rival Pokemon and obstacles that may be blocking its path. If you want something a little stronger than a typical Pokemon to teach Cut to, then Kingler is an excellent choice.

4/15 Greninja

Greninja is a competitive powerhouse of a Pokemon, being the strongest of the three starters in Pokemon X & Y. This frog is one of the most beloved Pokemon in the franchise to date, and it is no surprise that it can cut trees down just as effectively as the sword-wielding ninjas it's based on.

This makes Cut especially flavorful and gives Greninja a Normal-type physical attack that stands out among its strange Poison, Dark, and Water-type moves. It's certainly more straightforward than many of its other moves, but Cut is right at home on every evolutionary stage of this beloved Kalos frog.

3/15 Crobat

This bat may not seem like it would be the perfect candidate for the move cut, using its only appendages to stay afloat due to its lack of apparent legs. However, Crobat has very sharp wings that it can use to cut down trees and other plant life, and this can make a surprisingly great addition to the Pokemon in the original Johto games.

Crobat is an underrated HM target, having high enough offensive stats to use the physical HM moves like Fly and Cut without losing its battle prowess. This Pokemon is easily one of the most powerful users of the move, even if Cut itself isn't Crobat's strongest option.

2/15 Gallade

Gallade is a Psychic and Fighting-type Pokemon introduced in the Sinnoh games, and its arms are known for being able to slice and punch through just about anything. Even though you can't get this Pokemon until fairly late in Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, its blades and physical Attack stat make it an ideal choice if you want some Normal-type options on a Psychic-type.

Much like Scyther, it's almost bizarre that it can't learn Cut through leveling up, but it still learns enough similar moves like Psycho Cut and Night Slash to fill the void. If you need a Normal-type addition for your Gallade, then teaching it Cut in its original games is a spectacular choice.

1/15 Kartana

Strangely enough, there's one other Pokemon in the series that learns Cut without needing an HM, largely because this Pokemon debuted after the developers removed HMs from the series. This would be the Ultra Beast Kartana, an origami sword Pokemon capable of slicing through steel.

It makes total sense that this Pokemon learns Cut, and much like Gallade, it comes alongside many other slicing moves like Leaf Blade and Sacred Sword. With one of the highest physical attack stats in the franchise, Kartana is objectively the strongest user of Cut in the series today.
