Expensive as heck compared to other communication services available at other facilities!! $20 only really gives you 12-14 to communicate with the inmate. That only averages one phone call. Sometimes two. The connection fails constantly. Video lags and freezes constantly. They charge you for a paper statement. Even though it is on the app. But, they don't care because we will keep paying them and keep trying so that we can try and communicate with our loved ones. They are good but they are expensive. For example if u put $20 on ur phone account. After all of their fees and taxes, you only get $12 of credit. But if u have a loved one incarcerated and this is the phone service that facility uses. They know they can charge u pretty much what ever they want. But it does have an up side. With this app, u can text back and forth. But text messages are $0.50 each. Also u can video call, but those of course are limited to time by the facility. 90 people found this review helpful
I would give 5 stars, and I REALLY wish I was able to but the app just doesn't work like I wish it would! It won't let me video call, or accept them. It says I am connected, but then right after it says that, it says disconnected and gives me the customer service phone number. So irritating! Also with our messages, a lot of times he doesn't get mine til later that evening or the next day sometime. Hopefully these issues can be fixed soon! How do you set up a City Tele Coin App?They can search the mobile app store for “City Tele-Coin” to download our app. Have them visit us online at www.citytelecoin.com to register their existing DirectPay account(s) or to setup new ones. Funds can be added to an account through our CTC kiosk as well. They can call us at 318-746-1114 for live help.

Is City Tele Coin legit?I have been using the City Telecoin app since May 2021 and it is a rip off. Not only does it take too much money in fees and costs to add money but the service does not work. I have had to deal with countless dropped video calls that will not connect upon calling back and the video freezing.
