Watch Fireworks Live Along the Corpus Christi Gorgeous Bayfront!

Beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, the free H-E-B night-time starbursts will be set off from a barge located in the Corpus Christi Bay just north of People’s Street T-Head. The public is encouraged to come downtown and enjoy the show! Shoreline Blvd. will be closed to traffic to ensure pedestrian safety.

It Time For the 45th Annual Mayor's Big Bang Celebration

The 2022 Mayor's Big Bang celebration taking place at the downtown Corpus Christi bayfront with fireworks, festivities, and more! Bring friends and family to enjoy activities all day long on the bayfront and Water's Edge park followed by an incredible fireworks show lighting up the night sky and fired off along the Corpus Christi bay. This live fireworks show is a free event for people of all ages! Celebrate Independence Day in Corpus Christi.

The 20-minute fireworks show will be synchronized to contemporary and classic music and it will be broadcasted by Corpus Christi Radio Group on US 94.7 FM starting at 9:30 p.m. on July 3.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Mayor’s 45th annual Fourth of July Big Bang Celebration is almost here, and the Committee is excited to feature a full day of FREE events for the whole family.

Saturday, July 2:

MAYOR’S CUP REGATTA

Don’t miss the Mayor’s Cup Regatta, sponsored by the Corpus Christ Marina and Corpus Christi Yacht Club. The event will be on Saturday, July 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the south end of the Lawrence Street T-Head. Members of the Corpus Christi Yacht Club’s junior sailing team and local boat owners will compete in the regatta.

Sunday, July 3:

INDEPENDENCE DAY FAJITA COOK-OFF (Sponsored by Nueces Brewing and BBQ, Co.)

Cook-off participants have the option to cook on-site or off-site. On-site participants can start cooking on Sunday, July 3, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at 401 South Water Street. Participants can register for the fajita cook-off by visiting www.nuecesbrewing.com/fajita-cookoff/. The entry fee is $50 per team.
Judging will begin on Sunday, July 3, at 3:00 p.m. Mayor Paulette Guajardo will be a guest judge.

CC Food Truck Summerfest and Family Fun Zone

The 7th Annual Corpus Christi Food Truck Summerfest will be Sunday, July 3, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at The Water’s Edge, 402 South Shoreline Boulevard. Food trucks will

offer delicious dishes for everyone to enjoy. Food and drink prices may vary. The Summerfest Family Fun Zone will provide FREE live music, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, mini horses, and plenty of children’s activities.

BIG BANG Fireworks Show Presented by H-E-B

The Mayor’s Fourth of July Big Bang Firework Show, sponsored H-E-B, will begin Sunday, July 3, at 9:30 p.m. along the Corpus Christi Bayfront. The show’s viewing will be available from North Beach to Cole Park and will last approximately 20 minutes. Tune in to the following local radio stations for synchronized patriotic music beginning at 9:30 p.m.

CORPUS CHRISTI RTA PARK & RIDE

With ongoing road closures, construction, and limited parking, guests are strongly encouraged to utilize the Corpus Christi RTA’s complimentary Park & Ride service.

The service will be available on Sunday, July 3, from 11:30 a.m. until 30 minutes after the event (fireworks) have ended

  • Pick Up is at Corpus Christi City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street
  • Drop Off is at Water Street, between John Sartain & Lomax streets (formerly William St.)
  • BBQ pits or coals are not allowed on the bus
  • Coolers and lawn chairs are permitted on the bus
  • Service animals are allowed anytime
  • Emotional support animals must be in a pet carrier

Monday, July 4:

Patriotic Ceremony

The Mayor’s Committee for Veterans Affairs’ Patriotic Ceremony will begin on Monday, July 4, 10:00 a.m., at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park, 222 South Shoreline Boulevard. The program will include a presentation of colors, a performance by the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi, a keynote speaker, and more.

No Parking and Tow Away Zones will be strictly enforced beginning Sunday, July 3, at 7:00 a.m.
