Pros:Excellent service. Starting with Willie, our late night front desk guy that checked us in. He was delightful and helped us with all of our questions. Also, Wayne, who was working next to the fitness center, helped us out when he overheard us talking about some things we needed. Even bringing extra coffee up to our room later. Simple hotel with basic needs but clean, friendly, and lovely walk to many locations on upper East side. Very comfortable bed/pillows, coffee in morn. The price + service made it exactly what we were looking for.

Cons:That we didn't come 2 days earlier.

How to book

Making your reservation in Courtyard by Marriott Manhattan/Upper East Side is easy and secure. Simply select your dates of stay and click on the “Check Rates” button to submit the form.

Only 3.8 mi (6.1 km) from the airport, Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Upper East Side puts you within a 10-minute drive of Central Park and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Guests can enjoy the fitness centre, or take advantage of nearby hiking/biking trails. Also, Grand Central Terminal and 5th Avenue are within a short drive. Fellow travellers like that it's only a short walk to public transportation: East 86th Street Station is 9 minutes away and 96 St. Station (Lexington Av.) is 12 minutes.

The neighborhood is convenient and quiet. Good access to public transport, food options at all price levels. Hotel felt safe and nice, bed was comfortable. Shower was weak and temperature never got more than warm. Only half the TV channels worked. Those were the only two negatives though, good stay. I would book again.

Nice hotel and rooms are clean. Very friendly and polite staff. They provide daily housekeeping which is rare now a days. The only draw backs are there is no breakfast or Restaurant on site and limited dining options in surrounding area.

Many small shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Subway station about a 15 minute walk. Room comfortable although a little small.

It was just what we needed.....great location and , for New York, very affordable. Good value for the money. No good services, but with a fridge and a microwave in the room, who cares.....and....so many places to eat right next door almost. May we recommend Chez Nick. The neighbourhood was quiet and the hotel was just a step or two from a quiet riverside park full of families enjoying themselves. Highly recommend this hotel which is less than 15 minutes from Laguardia.
