Does Crunchyroll have Jujutsu Kaisen 0 dub?

English sub and dub film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will finally release on Crunchyroll on Wednesday, September 21. To celebrate the announcement, the Crunchyroll YouTube channel has released a celebratory trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen 0.

Jujutsu Kaisen film 0 adapts the prequel manga to Jujutsu Kaisen series titled “Jujutsu Kaisen volume 0”. The film focuses on Yuta Okkotsuki, who is a student of Gojo. When Yuta was a young boy, his childhood friend Rika died in front of him in a car accident. He later experienced Rika’s curse, which caused her to transform into a cursed spirit. Gojo welcomes Yuta to the magic high school and promises to end Rika’s curse there.

Crunchyroll has not revealed the exact release time for Jujutsu Kaisen 0; other than that it will be available on the platform on September 21. Just like Netflix released it shows at 12:00 AM, it is expected that Crunchyroll will release the film at the same time. Below is the countdown to the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie release.

In March 2018, Gege Akutami debuted the Jujutsu kaisen manga series in the Weekly Shonen Jump publication. But this film is based on a one-shot manga that was released in Shueisha’s Jump Giga magazine in April 2017. The anime adaptation of the series was chosen by Studio Mappa and debuted in 2020. Mappa Studio also provided the animation for the film 0. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is set to release in 2023.

Crunchyroll describes the anime series as follows:

Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back

JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, the anime movie prequel to the smash-hit series JUJUTSU KAISEN, is finally coming to streaming, courtesy of Crunchyroll, this week.

The series will make its Crunchyroll debut on Wednesday, September 21 in both subbed and dubbed formats.

JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 FINALLY HITS CRUNCHYROLL THIS WEEK

Crunchyroll previously released the film in select United States and international markets earlier this year. The film went on to gross $34 million at the North American box office and a cool $166 million worldwide. The Crunchyroll launch is the first time the film will receive a digital streaming release outside of Japan.

The story followsYuta Okkotsu, who witnessed his childhood friend Rika Orimoto die in a car accident in front of him. The two once made a promise together that they would get married when they grew up. However, Rika became a curse after she died, and the spirit seeks to remain close to Yuta and protect him.

The Jujutsu Sorcerer Satoru Gojo learns about Yuta’s curse and seeks to help him by enrolling him in Jujutsu High in Tokyo. He is joined by fellow classmates Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda. However, Yuta soon becomes the target of a powerful curse wielder, Suguru Geto, who seeks to possess Yuta’s power for himself in his quest to wipe out all non-sorcerers on the planet. It’s now up to Yuta, Gojo, and the rest of the Sorcerers at Jujutsu High to stop Geto and his group from enacting their plans.

The hit movie was produced by Studio MAPPA and directed by Sunghoo Park with a runtime of 105 minutes. It was adapted from JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, a prequel manga to the JUJUTSU KAISEN manga series from Gege Akutami.

Fans will still have to wait a while until the launch of JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 later in 2023. However, the streaming release might hopefully tide fans over for a while and make the wait a little more doable. JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 was a great story and expansion into the world of jujutsu sorcery from Akutami’s manga. It is easily worth a look for fans of the manga series and the anime’s first season to get a fuller view of the world and the supporting characters, who get a little more screen time here.

Fans might find the villain, Suguru Geto, familiar as there is another person who looks just like him or appears to be possessing his body throughout the anime’s first season. JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 sheds more light on Geto as a character and his overall goals, along with his connection to Satoru Gojo.

Plus, the movie has more of the great second-year characters of the first season, except the story depicts the likes of Maki, Toge, and Panda while they are still in their first year of high school. Plus, they get to showcase more aspects of their abilities and a different dynamic while teaming up with Yuta.
