Does red glow in the dark paint glow red?

Orange and red are two of the most special glow in the dark paint colors due to their rarity and much different color than the blue green spectrum you typically get from glow in the dark materials. Both of these neutral colors dry clear for at least the first few coats. Please note that neither color glows for very long. Red glows for about 5 to 10 minutes.

The fluorescent chemicals in fluorescent paint absorb the invisible UV radiation, then emit the energy as longer wavelength visible light of a particular color. Human eyes perceive this light as the unusual 'glow' of fluorescence.

What is the difference between neon and glow in the dark paint?

Fluorescent colors appear intense in daylight but will not be visible in the dark unless exposed to a black light. Phosphorescent pigments will glow in the dark but only after being exposed to a light source, including sunlight or by placing under a light bulb.

Why is my glow in the dark paint not glowing?

The painted object can be charged on natural or artificial light. The closer, more direct, and more consistent the strength of the light is, the better the object will glow. Any shadows, blockage of light, or inconsistency of light during charging (ie. gradual sun set) will affect the objects ability to glow.
