Does Sig make good red dots?

The Sig P320 is an amazing handgun for several reasons…

It’s reliable, accurate, simple, and easy to shoot…

It’s also easy to mount a red dot on, and that’s actually a trend that is becoming more and more popular because, just as with a rifle, it can help you shoot faster and more accurately…

But with all the handgun optics that are on the market now, what is the best red dot for the Sig P320…?

Well, that’s a question I’ll be answering in this post today, and I’ll be doing that by giving my top 7 list of the best red dot sights for the Sig P320…

By the end, you’ll have a good understanding of the options that are currently available on the market, and you should be able to determine which optic is going to work best for you…

Let’s get started!

The best red dot for the Sig P320 is the Trijicon RMR. The RMR is the best because it’s built to be extremely rugged and reliable. It also has ultra-long battery life, comes in several different reticle options, and can easily be mounted on the P320 with the use of an adapter plate…

The following list will give you more detail as to why the Trijicon RMR is the best red dot sight for the Sig P320…

And I’ll also share with you 6 other handgun red dots that would make for amazing optics on the P320 as well…

1. Trijicon RMR Type 2 (My #1 Pick)

Does Sig make good red dots?

As I mentioned earlier, I think the Trijicon RMR Type 2 is the best optic for the Sig P320. Of all the pistol red dot options that are on the market now, I think the Trijicon RMR is still ‘the king’ and there are many reasons why…

First of all, the Trijicon RMR (which stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex sight) is an extremely durable and reliable optic. The sight housing is made from forged aluminum, and it has the patented square-top design (with little horns) that makes it insanely impact resistant for such a small red dot…

On top of that, it’s waterproof in up to 66 feet of water, and it can easily handle the worst rainy or wet conditions you can throw at it. The RMR also has ultra-long battery life (around 4 years worth), large brightness adjustment buttons that are easy to use, and it comes in multiple versions that offer you different reticle sizes and types…

The two most common reticle options are the 3.25 MOA dot and the 6.5 MOA dot. Both are good options, but I prefer the 3.25 MOA dot because it’s very quick and easy for your eye to pick up, but also small enough that it allows you to aim very precisely…

The one downside to mounting an RMR onto your Sig P320 is that most P320’s do not have an optic cut on their slide for the RMR footprint. But even though that’s the case, you can still easily mount the RMR on your P320 with the use of an adapter plate (I recommend this one here)…

So all in all, the Trijicon RMR is super rugged and reliable, has very long battery life, is simple to use, and has a great reticle. I think it’s the best pistol red dot on the market, and it would be a fantastic optic for your Sig P320.

2. Leupold Delta Point Pro

Does Sig make good red dots?

The second red dot that I think you should consider for your P320 is the Leupold Delta Point Pro. First of all, let me say that this is the best red dot for the Sig P320 M17 model (and the M18), and if you have that version, you should go with the Delta Point Pro over the Trijicon RMR because the M17 was designed by Sig Sauer to be used with the Delta Point Pro…

That being said, even if you don’t have an M17, the Delta Point Pro would be a fantastic red dot for your P320 for several reasons. First of all, the Delta Point Pro is built like a tank. It has a lightweight aluminum sight housing, but it also features a steel shroud that gives extra protection in the place where you need it most, over your optic’s lens…

It’s also waterproof in up to 66 ft of water (just like the Trijicon RMR), and it’s an extremely durable and reliable red dot. In addition to that, it comes with a 2.5 MOA dot reticle which I think is a great size because it’s easy to track and still allows you to aim very precisely, and a very large sight window which allows you to see more when you’re shooting (and that’s always a good thing)…

Now the battery life on the Delta Point Pro is 300 hours. That’s ok, but it’s far below every other red dot on this list. That being said, the Delta Point Pro does have a top-access battery compartment which makes battery changes quick and easy, and it includes motion sensor technology which is designed to help save you a little bit of battery life…

Last, many versions of the Sig P320, including the M17, do come with a slide that’s already cut for the Delta Point Pro footprint, so you probably won’t have to get an adapter plate to mount it on your handgun. And in the end, I think that the optic cut compatibility and the Delta Point Pro’s durability and reliability make it one of the top options for a P320 red dot sight.

3. Sig Sauer Romeo 1 Pro

Does Sig make good red dots?

Number 3 on this list of the best Sig P320 red dots is a sight that’s actually made by Sig. It’s the Sig Sauer Romeo 1 Pro, and let me tell you why this is a fantastic little handgun optic…

First of all, the Sig Romeo 1 Pro is a well-built red dot. Its sight housing is made from aircraft grade aluminum, and it’s waterproof in up to 1 meter of water. That being said, on its own, it’s not the most durable handgun optic, and I wouldn’t recommend it for tough use. However, Sig recognized this, and the Romeo 1 Pro actually comes with a protective steel shroud that you can mount over your sight…

This transforms the optic into an extremely rugged handgun red dot, and makes it a very good option even if you intend to use your P320 as a duty pistol. In addition to that, the Sig Romeo Pro 1 has very long battery life (around 20,000 hours worth), and Sig’s MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) technology which means the sight will automatically turn off when it’s not in use and automatically turn on when it senses motion. This feature saves you battery life, and I’ve found that it works very well because the sight turns on easily as soon as I grab my gun…

On top of all that, the sight window that comes on the Romeo 1 Pro is very large and gives you a wide field of view when you’re aiming, and it can be had with either a 3 MOA dot reticle or a 6 MOA dot reticle. I prefer dots in the 2-3.5 size range because I find them to be easy to track and very easy to aim precisely, so I prefer the 3 MOA dot version…

Last, because this is a Sig red dot, it’s going to be compatible with your P320 if it comes from the factory optics ready. So you won’t need an adapter plate to mount it onto your handgun slide. So all in all, I think it’s a quality optic, and pairing a Sig optic with a Sig P320 is always going to be a good option.

4. Trijicon SRO

Does Sig make good red dots?

Another amazing pistol optic that you should consider for your P320 is the Trijicon SRO. To begin, the SRO is a very rugged and reliable optic. It has a sight housing that’s constructed from 7075-T6 Aluminum, and it’s waterproof in up to 10 feet of water. Now, because it has a different sight housing design than the RMR, it’s not quite as durable. But keep in mind that it’s still a Trijicon, so it’s still more rugged than most other red dots…

In addition to that, it’s actually better than the RMR in one key area… It has a larger sight window. Now as I mentioned earlier, this is an important feature because it gives you a larger field of view when you’re aiming, and seeing more is extremely helpful when you’re trying to shoot fast and accurately…

The SRO also has ultra-long battery life (around 3 years worth) and a top-loading battery, which is very convenient because you can quickly and easily change the battery out when you need to (with the RMR you have to remove the optic from your slide to change out the battery)…

Last, you can get the Trijicon SRO with a 2.5 MOA (minute of angle) dot reticle, a 5 MOA dot reticle, or a 1 MOA dot reticle, and as I said earlier, my preference would be the 2.5 MOA dot because it offers the best balance between tracking the dot and aiming precisely. Now just as with the RMR you probably will need an adapter plate to mount the SRO on your P320 slide (I recommend this one), but overall, the SRO is an amazing handgun red dot and would be a great optic for the Sig P320.

5. Holosun HE508T-X2

Does Sig make good red dots?

I love Holosun red dots. To me, they offer the best bang for your buck because they’re loaded with useful features but still remain at an affordable price point. That’s certainly the case with the Holosun 508T, and I think it’s another fantastic red dot that would be a great optic for your P320…

To start off with, the Holosun 508T is an extremely rugged and reliable sight. It actually rivals the Trijicon RMR in this area because its sight housing is made from titanium rather than aluminum. In addition to that, it has a square top shape, which Holosun has found to be more impact resistant than a rounded shape, and it’s waterproof in up to 1 meter of water…

On top of that, the 508T has Holosun’s Multiple Reticle System which means you get 3 reticle options included with the sight. The 3 reticles are a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, and the Holosun Circle Dot Reticle which is my favorite because it helps you shoot extremely fast and accurately…

The Holosun 508T also has ultra-long battery life (around 50,000 hours worth), Shake Awake technology (which saves you battery life), an easy-access side-loading battery tray (which allows you to change the battery without removing the sight from your slide), and a Solar Panel on top (which allows you to use the sight even without a battery)…

Last, because this is the X2 model of the 508T, you can lock out the brightness buttons so that they don’t accidentally get pushed and go way up or way down, and because it shares the same footprint as the RMR, you should be able to mount it onto your Sig P320 slide with the use of an adapter plate (I recommend this one)…

All in all, the Holosun 508T is an extremely rugged and reliable optic, it has fantastic reticle options, it’s loaded with other features that are useful to you as the shooter, and it can easily be mounted on to the Sig P320 with the use of an adapter plate.

6. Holosun HS507C-X2 (Best Budget Option!)

Does Sig make good red dots?

I told you earlier that I love Holosun, and I couldn’t resist the urge to put another one on this list. The Holosun 507C is fast becoming a legendary handgun optic, and I firmly believe that it’s the best budget optic for the Sig P320…

The 507C is a fantastic red dot for several reasons. First of all, even though its sight housing is constructed from 7075-T6 Aluminum rather than the titanium found on the Holosun 508T, it’s still a very rugged and reliable optic. You can see in the picture just how thick the Aluminum housing is, and that certainly adds a great deal of toughness to this little sight…

In addition to that, the 507C is waterproof in up to 1 meter of water, and even though it’s probably a little less rugged than the 508T, it’s an extremely popular pistol red dot sight and has developed a solid reputation for ruggedness and reliability…

On top of all that, the 507C comes with the Holosun’s Multiple Reticle System so you get a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, and the Holosun Circle Dot Reticle included with it (again, the Circle Dot is my favorite because it helps you shoot fast and accurately)…

And just as with the 508T, it comes with ultra-long battery life (around 50,000 hours), Shake Awake technology to save you battery life, A Solar Panel that allows you to use the sight without a battery, and a side-loading battery tray which allows for quick and easy battery changes when the time comes…

Now, just as with the Trijicon RMR, the SRO, and the Holosun 508T, you will probably have to use an adapter plate to mount the 507C onto your P320 (I recommend this one), but all in all, you can’t beat the ruggedness, reliability, and affordability that the Holosun 507C has to offer!

7. Crimson Trace RAD Pro

Does Sig make good red dots?

The last optic on this list of amazing red dots for the P320 is the Crimson Trace RAD Pro. As of the time that I’m writing this, this is a very new red dot on the market, and I think it’s very exciting for several reasons…

First of all, like all the other sights on this list, the RAD Pro is a very rugged and reliable red dot sight. It has a sight housing that’s made from 7075 Aluminum, and it also has a square top shape that is designed with specific angles to make the optic more impact resistant. On top of that, it’s waterproof in up to 1 meter of water, and I think it looks really sleek and cool (which is important to me haha!)…

The Rad Pro also has ultra-long battery life of around 40,000 hours, an auto shut off feature, a shake to wake feature (which will help save you battery life), and a top accessible battery compartment that makes battery changes fast and painless…

Additionally, the RAD Pro comes with a 3 MOA dot reticle which is right in the 2-3.5 range that I prefer, and because it features the Docter footprint you’ll probably need an adapter plate to mount it onto your P320 slide (you can find one here)…

All in all, the Crimson Trace Rad Pro is a super exciting handgun optic. I expect it to be a very popular option in the market very soon, and if you want to get in before the big rush, I think it would make for a fantastic red dot on the Sig P320.
