Well over my christmas break i was at a local gunshop and decided i should buy myself a christmas present and picked up the GSG 110Rnd drum mag and hope for the best given previous drums mags have been less than quality based on most reviews. So here is my review, with a little input on how to fix possible fitment issues. Overall build quality seems very solid. However depending on your stock may need some slight work to fit in the mag well which seems to be reported on several forums depending on which stock the gun has but no one explains how to fix it so ill explain. Out of the box you will see at the bottom of the metal portion of the mag it flares out and they do machine it slightly from the factory. Mine required a lot of force to seat and remove the mag and you could see where it was rubbing the mag well. Depending on access to tools you could go about this several ways, sanding, filing or a die grinder with very fine cookie cutter discs, i opted for the die grinder. I started by removing VERY small amounts of the flared portion then test fit, when i got it fitting easier i took a sharpie marker and colored the area that was ground and test fit again, when you remove again the sharpie will be rubbed off the high points, at which point remove slightly more. The idea is to have a snug fit because the loaded mag does weigh about 2-3lbs and you dont want to remove too much cause it will shake around and likely cause feed issues. When i was done grinding i cleaned it and cold blued it and took it out the next day and put a 555rnd box of winchester hollow point bulk through it, just plinking it functions like a normal mag, rapid fire i had maybe 6-12 FTF/jambs likely due more to ammo than the mag. Loading unfortunately has to be done by hand so no speed loader, it was a little difficult at first but after a few round i got it figured out, just follow the instruction manual it takes about 5min to load and 30sec to unload :Blasting_ All that said ive got a lot of experience with metal work and such so this was a very simple task to make this mag fit, So please dont tackle this if your not comfortable cause you could screw things up and be left with an odd and expensive paper weight. My 10/22 is a take down model with the synthetic stock. In case anyone was wondering about the slight fitment issues. If anyone doesnt understand the above post just say so and i can post a picture, sometimes pictures just speak so much better than words.
