By far the best bed cover I've purchased. In the past, I've had tri-folds and roll-up covers, and this is by far the best! I spent a couple weeks researching several different styles, looking for something that would last and protect anything I hauled. There are some great choices on the market, but when I stumbled across Peragon, I started to dig deeper than I did on any other. From written reviews and customers videos on YouTube, for me the choice was a no-brainer, not to mention being an American-made product. I purchase the Limited HD with XRP matte finish, and after installing it, I couldn't have hoped for a better cover. The sleek look and the matte black finish goes perfect with the look I am after. The easy to follow instructions and the installation videos available made it a breeze,
only took a couple hours. The ease of use and functionality is perfect! I couldn't be happier! It's obly been a few weeks, but I absolutely love this cover!
I am writing this review about my experience to help ease someone's apprehension on buying and installing this cover. This review is more for peragon's customer service rather than the top itself, there's 300 or so positive reviews you can read about how awesome the tonneau cover is. I am not super handy but I watched a couple videos and thought that I could give it a shot. Well, I was wrong. Attempted the install got the top stuck in the rails and bent the rail while trying to remove it to reinstall. 100% user error on my part. I was very concerned now because I'm thinking There goes $1499 down the tubes. After talking with customer service they had me package up the original pieces and they sent me a whole new unit so that I could have someone a little more skilled than myself install it. I was very pleased that they didn't try and send me out pieces, as I was afraid it would be like a rubix cube for the person starting over to install. I'm sure peragon isn't trying to have to ship out 2 units for every customer like me but don't hesitate to buy this if you're concerned about an install issue, a quality issue, return issue, or anything along those lines because I can tell you their customer service was so easy to deal with and gave me no problem whatsoever when most companies definitely wouldn't have in that scenario. After I got my second cover I had my mechanic install it no problem in an afternoon and I love it. I also want to add that the XRP matte finish is no joke! I ripped that puppy out of there with a ton of force and it did not even scratch it. I MEAN NOT A MARK. After seeing it stand up to the abuse it took after my install attempt I'm confident it will be more than strong enough to hold up to years of use. Let me add I didn't have to pay for the return shipping or the shipping out of the new cover. Also let me point out that the install is NOT HARD, I just screwed it up. My mechanic did it under two hours by himself start to finish. After I fumbled the first install I really felt like I could have done it on a second try but I didn't wan't to risk it. Keep it up peragon great company!
Installation was pretty easy, takes a little time to adjust it for the best fit but it's not hard at all. Cover was very tight the first day, but as the instructions clearly state, give it a day to settle in - after 24 hours, it was really snug, after 48 hours it fits perfectly. I recommend installing it and leaving it sit over night and then adjust if you need to. Quality is excellent, LOVE the new XRP coating. I've been wanting this cover for a couple years and when this new coating came out it was time! I think the glossy paint looks great, but i'd have to keep it clean :) the textured finish looks like a factory option, feels more durable. I had considered canister covers, but didn't like the idea of a big box that I couldn't remove on the fly. the Peragon cover takes seconds to remove, making it the best of both world in my opinion. I used the tailgate seal kit and it works really well, I used adhesive promoter to prep the surfaces too. I also filled in the cab end corners with a tiny bit of the foam to seal it up. Like any cover very heavy rain/wind or a power washer is bound to get a little water inside. I think with stake pocket fillers and the tailgate seal, it's keeps the water out just fine. Great cover, fast shipping, great support - made in USA. Very happy.
I am in love with the XRP Matte Black Cover. I did alot of research as i wanted a hard top cover that worked with the Sports Bar. It was not super easy to install, but i believe that to be because of my Sports Bar. Had to be creative, but Jacob at Peragon was a big help! He was quick to respond and gave me the tips and links i needed to get it done. I love that this is American Made as well. As you can see, I have an affinity for our Flag. If this cover can stand up to our NY winters, then i will never buy another brand!
I highly recommend this truck cover. I shopped for years for the perfect cover and this is it! The cover is nearly watertight, easily to open and close, one person can quickly remove the entire cover giving you your entire truck bed for hauling. This cover is very secure as well. I recommend and show off my truck bed cover to everyone who will listen. Caution, be sure to lock the cover if you go into an automatic car/truck wash. The blowers can open the cover during the automatic cleaning. Customer Service is outstanding! I made a mistake when I installed the cover. Peragon sent me a brand new panel group (cover) at no charge! Even when the instructions and video repeatedly tell you the frame must be perfectly level I thought mine was level enough. It was not level so I ruined the panel group. Thanks for fixing my mistake.
