The Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection is an under sink reverse osmosis filter that delivers 9 stages of filtration, purification, sterilization, remineralization and enhancement to remove up to 98% of total dissolved solids from water.

With added calcium and magnesium minerals, water produced by this system is lower in acidity and improved in taste. The Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection uses a UV filter to remove harmful microorganisms from water without changing the water’s chemistry or adding chemicals like chlorine.

All filters are easy-change and have a lifespan of up to a year.

Sediment filter

Water in this RO filtration unit runs through a sediment filter to remove larger particles like sand, dirt, rust, and anything else that might block the filters and damage the reverse osmosis membrane.

Iron filter

Users needing to filter well water will benefit from the system’s iron filter, which removes dissolved iron from the water that might otherwise destroy the reverse osmosis membrane. The filter contains an advanced redox media KDF85 to act as a catalyst for effective iron removal.

Mixed media pre-filter

The system’s mixed media pre-filter uses catalytic carbon filtration that removes chemicals like chlorine, chloramines, pesticides and herbicides from water.

RO membrane

Like all reverse osmosis systems, this unit uses a semi-permeable membrane to remove up to 98% of total dissolved solids. These contaminants are unable to pass through the system’s membrane, leaving only clean water on the other side.

UV light sterilization

Built into the RO system is a UV light, which sterilizes water without adding chemicals or changing the chemistry of the water. The filter eliminates viruses, neutralizing the cell walls of the living microorganisms with an intense light wave.

Full contact remineralization system

The final stage of filtration in this RO unit takes place in the full contact remineralization system. The system balances the water’s pH twice; first when it travels to the water storage tank, and secondly when it flows out of the tank to the faucet.

This adds small amounts of magnesium and calcium minerals to the water, improving taste and resulting in cleaner, more alkaline water.

Permeate pump

The system uses a non-electric permeate pump to improve water flow and prevent the production of excess water waste. This further improves system efficiency and speeds up the flow of water to the holding tank. Note that the permeate pump is an add-on and comes at additional cost.

Storage tank & chrome faucet

The tank in this system stores up to 3.2 gallons of water in total. The tank refills automatically when filtered water is used. The long reach sink faucet is non-air gap and prevents contaminants from being added to water from tank to drinking glass.

🚦 Performance

The Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection combines a number of features that make for better RO efficiency and reduced water wastage.

When purchased with a permeable pump, the system produces water at a 1:1 waste to production rate, meaning that for every 1 gallon of water that is produced, 1 gallon is wasted.

This is far more efficient than the standard RO water ratio of 1:4, which loses 4 gallons of water for every 1 gallon produced.

The system requires a minimum household pressure of 40 PSI to operate. When the water pressure is at this level or higher, the permeate pump can produce RO at a faster rate.

Households with a water PSI of lower than 40 should consider purchasing a booster pump to improve efficiency.

🔧 Installation & Maintenance

A plumber is not needed to install the Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection under sink system. With color-coded tubing and high grade connection, a user can set the system up themselves.

Instructions are available in paper and video form, as well as live support from the manufacturer. The main body of the system is already pre-assembled, and the user only needs to connect to the faucet, electricity and storage tank.

There’s no need to clean the body of the Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection as the filters are removed with the housing when it’s time for a replacement, preventing a build-up of sediment on the housing walls.

The Home Master TMHP HydroPerfection comes with a number of different filters to remove different particle sizes and types from the water.

The system’s sediment and iron filters remove larger particles of sand, rust, iron, and dirt from the water, which could otherwise damage the RO unit and semi-permeable membrane. The iron filter is particularly useful for cleaning well water.

The system also has a mixed media pre-filter, an RO membrane, and a UV sterilizer, for further removing microorganisms, contaminants and other chemical impurities from water. The remineralization filters add calcium and magnesium back into the water at two separate stages.

All filters require changing after 1 year. The RO membrane lasts a little longer between changes, usually up to 2 years. Filters can be purchased online.

Pros
