There is a release button where the cleaner holds the water tank. The button is on the same side as the handle.

How do you prime a Hoover carpet cleaner?

You "prime the pump" by attaching the tool to the hose and turning the carpet clearer to ON. Then put the tool on a hard surface or against your hand to block the suction. It may take up to 15 seconds to remove all the air. Once this is done, squeeze the trigger on the machine and begin to clean.

Why is my Hoover carpet cleaner not spraying water?

Air Is Stuck in Pump or Hose

If the cleaner is still not spraying despite the water and detergent tanks being full, there may be a bubble of air stuck in the pump or the hose. To fix this, you need to turn the cleaner on and lower the hose down to the floor.

How good is a Hoover PowerDash Pet Carpet Cleaner?

The Hoover PowerDash Pet Compact Carpet Cleaner is a solid investment for pet owners. The lightweight machine doesn't have the extra features higher-end carpet cleaners have, but it's affordable and powerful and handled most messes left behind by our furry friends.
