You can disable automatic iCloud syncing on your iPad by disabling the iCloud service, or by disabling syncing for individual data types. However, to disable automatic syncing with iTunes, you must change the syncing preferences for the iPad in the iTunes application. You can turn off syncing over wireless networks for the iPad, or you can disable automatic syncing with iTunes for all devices.

Disable ICloud Syncing

Tap the “Settings” icon on the iPad Home screen to launch the Settings app.
Tap “iCloud” to open the iCloud applications list. To disable all applications from syncing with iCloud, slide the “iCloud” toggle switch to the “OFF” position. Or, you can disable individual application from syncing, if desired.
Slide the toggle to the “OFF” position for each application, to disable it in the iCloud applications list.

Disable ITunes Wi-Fi Syncing

Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Click the “Devices” tab, then click the entry for your iPad.
Click the “Summary” tab, then click the “Sync With This Device Over Wi-Fi” to clear the check box.
Click “Apply,” then disconnect the iPad from the USB cable. Close iTunes.

Disable ITunes Automatic Syncing

Open iTunes on your computer, but do not connect the iPad with the USB data cable.
Press the “Alt-E” keys to launch the iTunes Edit menu.
Click “Preferences,” then click the “Devices” tab to open the iTunes Preferences menu.
Click the “Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from Syncing Automatically” check box to clear the box, then click “OK.”
Close iTunes, then restart the application. Automatic syncing is disabled for the iPad and other registered iOS devices.

Apparently, you have signed into iCloud on both your devices using the same Apple ID. Devices setup with the same Apple ID sync a lot of user data between them for built-in apps by default.

If you concerned about keeping company and personal data segregated, it is recommended to use different Apple ID for your iPad and iPhone (personal Apple ID for iPad and a separate one for iPhone).

Alternatively, if you have reasons to use the same Apple ID, you can selectively choose which data to sync. On your iPad/iPhone, go to Settings app → Tap on your name and picture shown on the top (Apple ID, iCloud, iTunes & App Store) → iCloud and under Apps Using iCloud section, turn-off the switch in front of all the apps for which you do not wish to sync data.

Specifically, to disable syncing website history, turn-off iCloud for Safari (it will also stop syncing bookmarks and open tabs from one device to the other), for text messages, turn off iCloud for Messages. If the SMS from your iPhone are also showing up on your iPad, you will additionally need to disable Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone. For that, go to Settings app → Messages → Text Message Forwarding and turn off the switch shown in front of your iPad.
