Yes. No rune arcs or upgrade materials or key items.

Bro, even if I tax your GPU just a few extra clock cycles to render my character, I consider it a win. Enjoy that spike in your power bill, loser!

First off you're better off setting a password only you and the person you want to trade/give with know of, then one of you summon the other as a red summon sign duelist so the host can't be invaded by anyone else. Because if you try to trade/give via yellow summon coop that opens up the host to invasion and they can pick up dropped items.

As for what players can trade/give....

Rune items and most consumable items, crafting items, ammunition items, all weapons(All types including bows and shields, regardless of upgrade level), all armor, all talismans and all Ashes of War.

What players can't trade/give....

Boss Remembrances(You can still trade/give boss weapons though), some other consumable / reusable items, Smithing Stones, key items(Including consumable ones such as Larval Tears, etc.), Sorceries and Incantations and other items such as maps, etc..

Be careful regarding Runes. Buddy got a warning for accepting a large amount of them from a friend. I've done the same, for a mule file, and nothing came of it. Maybe because I didn't pop a few million at once.....

Cheers for the warning. I don’t plan to drop crazy amounts of runes just enough to give him a boost. He’s level 30.

can't drop rune arcs, meat dumplings ( you can drop them but the other player can't see them) Spells, bolstering materials, key items.

Everything can be dropped, and so far there are no warning or limitation on dropping runes of any size and any quantity

Highly recommend dropping starlight shards and all crafting materials, erdleaf flowers specifically so you can craft more finger remedies

weapons can only be picked up at equal to or lower upgrade plus values so the receiver of the weapons has to have the same or lower upgrade value, which is why most drops are base non upgraded gear, but you can drop upgraded if the other player has upgraded

if that helps?

thank you.
Just one thing: i think I read somewhere that you can’t drop a weapon upgraded past the recipient’s highest level weapon.
Have you tested this?

This is true. It follows Dark Souls 3's rules for what can, and cannot be dropped, more or less. Outside of Rune Arcs, which could be viewed as this games analog to Embers.
