How do you fix a failed purchase on GTA 5?

When players attempt to purchase a ship in Sea of Thieves, they sometimes encounter a problem with the game where they receive a notification of “Purchase Failed!” on their screen when trying to buy a ship. Each time a player does this, the purchase still goes through by taking a player’s gold coins, but it prevents them from receiving the vessel they wish to purchase. Here’s what we know about how to fix the “Purchase Failed!” ship error in Sea of Thieves.

What can you do about the “Purchase Failed!” notification in Sea of Thieves

Unfortunately, if you receive this error when buying a ship, there’s little you can do about it. What many have found to help with this problem is to close out of your current Sea of Thieves application and try again. You are receiving this error because the servers are currently overloaded, and this will typically happen at the start of a Sea of Thieves season.

What’s happening in multiple other players is likely trying to get into the game and purchase their ship for the first time. Unfortunately, this is happening at a tremendous rate, and the Sea of Thieves servers are likely encountering some issues, which means the purchase will not go through.

Hopefully, when you close out of the application and boot it back up, the purchase goes through, or you have your gold returned to your account. Following the drop of a Sea of Thieves content update, problems like this are bound to happen to multiple players, but they should let up as more get into the game and drop out of the main menu. You may want to reach out to the Sea of Thieves support team if you continue to experience this problem or do not receive your gold back following these incorrect purchases.

I've been playing GTA Online since it started and completely forgot how single player works.

I want to buy a Frogger in single player. I have $1.6 billion and need to collect the letter scraps/spaceship parts. But when I go to purchase one, it says "Purchase failed - You have already unlocked this vehicle."

I definitely have not bought the vehicle. When I go to Trevor's helipad, the Skylift helicopter from the single player mission spawns (what the hell?)

How do I buy a Frogger, dammit?

Purchase failed You have already unblocked this vehicle???

Someone help me please, I'm trying to buy Insurgent in warstock, but every time I get an error message:
"Purchase failed You have already unblocked this vehicle"

And I do not have this car in any garage, can anyone help me?

You already bought it. You need to call Pegasus to deliver it somewhere random. If want it on garage you need búnker with moc or facility and avenger with vehicle workshop to make it a personal vehicle

This fix has been successfully applied to solve the "Transaction failed because inventory or price data is invalid. Please reboot the game to refresh the game catalog and try again." error that also resulted in not being paid as an associate. It is likely this will work for all of these types of error. PLEASE NOTE: I am not responsible for any problems or issues you may encounter related to this fix, do this at your own risk. Make backups of all changed files for safety.

Rockstar support advises: "1. Navigate to your PC's "Documents" folder (C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents by default). 2. Delete or rename the "Social Club" folder. " This is insufficient for most cases.

Extended fix:

1.) Delete or rename the "Social Club" folder in the following directories:

A) "C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Rockstar Games"
B) "C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games"
C) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games"

Reboot the computer and start the game; This may be enough to fix your issues. If this is not enough, REPEAT step#1 and add the following steps.

2.)Delete or rename "cfg.dat" and "pc_settings.bin" from "C:\Users%username%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles########"

3.) Delete/rename "entitlement.info", "metrics.telem", and "silentlauncher" from "C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V".

4.) As an extra step, I cleared all files and folders from "C:\Users%Username%\AppData\Local\Temp", just for good measure.

5.) Verify all local files through Steam (probably not needed, but I did it anyway), reboot the computer, start the game, and load into "Story Mode". This fix clears your brightness, controls, and a few other in-game settings (graphics settings should be unaffected), so you will need to change them to your preferred values.

This worked for me in Windows7_64bit and my friend in Windows10; both of us use Steam. Hope this helps someone.

Why does GTA say not sold separately?

In a statement to Polygon, Rockstar confirmed that there are no plans to sell Grand Theft Auto Online as a standalone release. "We don't have any plans to sell GTA Online separately. It will come free with every copy of GTA V and doesn't require a code, online pass, or anything like that."
