East Forest

Back in the East Forest, return to the Fox Statue.

Between the ladder and the entrance to Guard Tower 2, you'll spot a small slope. This leads up to a group of Rudelings including one with a shield and another with a shield and spear. You probably won’t be able to take them just yet, but you can run past them and follow the narrow passage here back to the Path to the Hero's Grave area where you can find a Treasure Chest containing Fire bomb x2.

Return to the Fox Statue and this time take the ladder. Defeat the pair of Rudelings at the top and then chop through the foliage here to reach a Treasure Chest containing 15 Shards.

Climb the next ladder and deal with another Rudeling here. Just past its location you'll find another locked gate. Climb the ladder and defeat another pair of Rudelings here. At the top of the next ladder, you'll find a lever. Pulling this will open the gate below.

Head back down and into the now unlocked door. We'll arrive at Guardhouse 1.

Guardhouse 1

Pull the lever just inside the door to create a second ladder down to the floor below. This will create a shortcut back to the Fox Statue outside. Look in the corner opposite the doorway ahead to find a Treasure Chest containing 30 Shards. Continue through the door ahead.

As you enter, a boss fight will begin.

Boss: Guard Captain

How do you ring the bell in Tunic?
This fellow is simply a larger version of the Rudelings that we have encountered thus far. He uses a sword and will use the same attack patterns as the other enemies, although he can link them together a bit quicker. He will however also use a unique ability - a lunging charge attack with his sword held outstretched in front of him.

He'll begin this fight alongside another Rudeling. Defeat the lesser enemy first before focusing on the big boy. Remember your dodge rolling and use that to get out of range of his attacks if required. Attack in the opening between, or just after an attack before backing off.

After defeating the Guard Captain, pull the nearby lever to open the gate he had been guarding. In the next room you'll find a Treasure Chest holding another Magic Potion.

Take the stairs in the back, right corner from the entry point and then the ladder. Once up, follow the set path until you reach the large bell structure. Swing your sword at this to ring the East Bell.
